On this episode I speak with Ms Vivi Vex, an up-and-coming icon of fashion at the intersections of sex work and mental health. She navigates the sex-positive communities, full-service sex work, modeling, and fashion with invisible disabilities that she’s not shy to make explicit and visible.

What’s it like to navigate sex and sexuality with invisible disabilities? How can the sex-positive communities provide space for people with invisible disabilities to explore and embrace their identity? What’s it like to be a sex worker with autism? Ms Vivi Vex provides insightful information from her experiences growing up with Autism, anti-vax and sex-negative parents, and issues communicating with others while attempting to discover her sex and sexuality. This episode is also a good listening exercise because it doesn’t follow the typical script. Ms Vex explains the issues that people on the spectrum have with communicating while attempting to communicate about her experiences. She asks for patience, instead of pity. Understanding, instead of judgement. Equitable treatment, instead of disregard. And hopefully you gain some insight on how to engage with people with invisible disabilities. Vivi wants to explore healthy and enjoyable sex. To explore her sexuality and to continue doing sex work. She found an outlet to do that in the sex-positive communities and is on her way to world domination though fashion, sex work, and mental health advocacy.

On this episode I speak with Niki Daivs-Fainbloom…yes, again! We covered so many interesting topics on the last episode there was no time to cover her expertise in sex-ed and consent, so we made another episode to give you that good dose of what the education system is missing—sex-ed and consent, as part of the ongoing sex-ed series on Intellectual Erection.

Niki is back. Well she never really left. You heard her bubbly and charismatic voice on last week’s episode talking all sorts of sexy fun, and now you’re gonna get schooled. She breaks out some interesting consent scenarios for me to decipher and we discuss why consent is or is not present in the given scenario. Then we get into the nitty-gritty of consent. We talk about communication and negotiation before engaging in play, the importance of enthusiastic consent, when consent is coerced, and how it plays out based on context and cultural differences. In the final bit we discuss nonverbal consent and how it plays a pivotal role in consent overall, as well as when it’s important to rely on it in the absence of the possibility for verbal consent.

On this episode I speak with self-proclaimed super freak and Alpha Princess, Geordie, who dives deep into his more than 15 years of experience engaging in and teaching a variety of BDSM practices. On this episode I speak with Oasis Aqualounge Co-Owner Fatima Mechtab about the sex club, the events she runs and markets there, and the porn she’s begun to produce out of the club. We get into the details about sex club events, the Projekt Panties (as seen on Instagram), and how the Oasis porn is different from mainstream pornography.
