  • Why Hobbies Won’t Fulfill You

When children grow up and leave home, it’s common for parents to try to stay “busy” and fill their days with pursuits like hobbies. But, in order to experience true fulfillment, you must do two things:

    • identify, develop, and utilize your inherent gifts to make a meaningful contribution to others
  • continue to challenge yourself in order to make continuous personal and professional progress
  • If you’re not thriving in your life, it’s never because you aren’t “busy” enough or because your days aren’t full enough.

I invite you to consider these questions:

    • What do others come to you for help with?
  • How willing are you to develop these gifts and utilize them to contribute?
  • How committed are you to making continuous progress personally and professionally?

  • Why You Can’t Just Be A Spectator To Your Adult Childrens’ Lives

When children grow up and leave home, it’s common for parents to feel as if they've gone from being a supervisor in their lives to being a spectator of their lives. If you want to be fulfilled in your life after your children leave home, you must be willing to create your own parallel path by utilizing your inherent gifts and passionate talents to make continuous progress while making a meaningful contribution to others.

I invite you to consider these questions:

    • How willing are you to create your own life after your children?
  • What might prevent you from doing so?
