Often dubbed "the other Madeleine McCann", Joana Cipriano was an 8 year-old girl living with her mother in Portugal, at the time of her disappearance in 2004. She has never been found, but is thought to be murdered. Her story did not make international headlines, but was brought into the media when 3 years later, Madeleine went missing, not far from where Joana lived. Not just a simple missing person case, this story has twists of incest, filicide, and police corruption.
