In this first part of our interview with Mutt, a revolutionary and key figure in the UK’s Black anarchist movement, we dive deep into radical propaganda, racialization, and the power of decentralized living. Mutt, involved with MUNTJAC—a collective of POC anarchists—shares their journey through the punk scene, their radicalization in response to the racism of growing up in England and Scotland, and their commitment to anti-capitalist and autonomous ways of life. We also discuss the limits of anti-organizational activism and the importance of mutual aid, including the zine How to Deal with the Cost of Living Hike, which offers practical resistance tips.
