Somewhere on the road to ‘What Must Be’
is this rocky shore we’re standing on;
they call this place – ‘Just What Is’.
But when folks swim out-into the ocean
under waves of illusion, they often drown.
Until the Cosmos calls them back,
to wake up, ‘live up’, to turn around.
They say right here’s the only spot
where you can glimpse infinity.
So, breathe it in, deep. Be here. Be now.*
See the horizon of the cosmic-sea.
If you look deep you can just make it out
as living water pours fresh from the spout.
When you calm your breathing, calm your vision,
you can see What Must Be’s horizon.
People say it looks like a mirror,
a sort of holograph of heaven.
And it’s always reflecting here and now.
earth and humans, and all our weapons.
is growing wild, growing from this moment.
Out of a single thread of ‘now’s’
the ‘future’ will be what Our now’s have woven.
Consider what we are doing to the animals,
to the soil, and to the oceans.
Is it not clear to everyone now
that separate ego-consciousness is irrevocably broken?
And in that breaking we have access
to a change of Being, change of motive, change of skin.
Humanity pouring loving-awareness** into each moment
and just like that… Christ comes again.
A re-membering. A re-ligioning.
A re-ceiving of all ‘Just What Is’s’.
It’s time to lay down these ‘separate-selves’
and get on with heaven’s unifying business.
Wake up. Breathe in deep. Look and see.
Just What Is, is smack dab in the middle
of the road to What Must Be.
Could a clearer view of this timeless Unity
usher in the Spirit to set us free?
Free to try. Free to hope.
Free to go “Live up Rastaman,
Drink deep this living water
flowing from What Is’s cup.
