Hello!
Thank you all for listening to this podcast and for sharing to your networks.
Today on City of Temples (our study through 1 Corinthians) we come to chapter 11 verse 1 and Paul's earnest longing for the Corinthians to imitate him just as he imitated Jesus.
So far, from chapters 1-10, what would the Corinthians have reasonably imitated of Paul had they been faithful? And what of us today if we are to be faithful in this anti-Christ world?
By way of review of the teaching series thus far, today’s podcast explores 12 elements of Paul's life and leadership that we should all be endeavouring to imitate today.
With eternity and 2 Corinthians 5 very much in mind, we love William Booth's quote,
“Most Christians would like to send their recruits to Bible college for five years. I would like to send them to hell for five minutes. That would do more than anything else to prepare them for a lifetime of compassionate ministry.”

Until next week, let's be found praying, "Come, Lord Jesus!"

Hello!
Thank you for listening to this episode of Into the Pray. Please do consider sharing to your networks for us.
Many thanks to David Robertson for joining us again this week to complete our time looking at the Prophet Elijah.
This second instalment really is quality...a timely conversation for any serious disciple of Christ who's prepared to hearken to the voice of the LORD at this time in history.
You can listen to the first part from last week here.
Next Friday we're also excited to be joined by Michael Nazir-Ali who will be helping us to focus on the Prophet Elisha. This too will be a timely conversation given the instability in Afghanistan and Michael's extensive work within the world of 'radical' Islam.
If you haven’t watched our flagship 2021 film, Calling YESHUA, yet, you can do so here; you can also download the song for free here.
Have you seen, "The Draft - A Conscription of Conscience"? This film is a two-hour conversation about the future of the Church and that closes with an opportunity to take communion. The Draft was recorded before COVID-19 was public and prophetically called for every church in the UK to close its doors. Tragically, much of the Church today still callously bewail its doors ever having been forcibly closed.
You can buy copies of our "manifesto of preparation", Body Zero, here.
Finally, a new YouTube video is available this week entitled, The Terror of the LORD (an Ode to William Booth). You can watch it here.

Hello!
*Apologies for the slightly below-par audio quality in this podcast today*
We're delighted to welcome Joanna Chandler to the podcast this week!
Joanna is a colleague of Dave Brennan of Brephos and who has recently made the move from working in the CBR-US team to over here with CBR in the UK.
Our mid-week focus of contraception in recent weeks continues today with Joanna who has done a lot of thinking and studying in this area, starting with her High School thesis a decade ago!
Please do pray for Joanna as she continues to settle into British culture and that her work for CBR-UK will be fruitful, provoking the global Church to faithfulness.
“The real damage is done by those millions who want to 'survive.' The honest men who just want to be left in peace. Those who don’t want their little lives disturbed by anything bigger than themselves. Those with no sides and no causes. Those who won’t take measure of their own strength, for fear of antagonising their own weakness. Those who don’t like to make waves—or enemies. Those for whom freedom, honour, truth, and principles are only literature. Those who live small, mate small, die small. It’s the reductionist approach to life: if you keep it small, you’ll keep it under control. If you don’t make any noise, the bogeyman won’t find you. But it’s all an illusion, because they die too, those people who roll up their spirits into tiny little balls so as to be safe. Safe?! From what? Life is always on the edge of death; narrow streets lead to the same place as wide avenues, and a little candle burns itself out just like a flaming torch does. I choose my own way to burn.”
— Sophie Scholl
This coming Friday, DON'T MISS the second part of our conversation with David Robertson about the Prophet Elijah and his showdown with Jezebel at Mount Carmel. This really is a quality conversation.
You can listen to the first part here and please do consider sharing to your social networks for us.
Next Friday we are joined by Michael Nazir-Ali who will be helping us to focus on the prophet Elisha.

Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to listen to this podcast.
This week the podcast is slightly longer than usual because, at the end, Nick gives testimony regarding a difficult and very relevant area of health struggle.
This week we finish chapter 10 of our study through the book of 1 Corinthians and focus on Paul's overarching passion in all of life to live for the glory of God.
This centrally includes what we put into our mouths and therefore what happens in our hearts.
How does the tricky issue of conscience relate to this?
Are we really supposed to please men in all things?
What demonic/idolatrous strongholds have infiltrated our Christian living?
There is a blog article to accompany this podcast and you can read/engage with that here.

Hello!
Thank you for listening to our podcast! (The second part of the study on Elijah is available from 20/8/21)
This week's Friday session is continuing our season focus on the Prophets as per Luke's record of Jesus' conversation with the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. (Please see Luke 24:27).
Many thanks to David Robertson for joining us again on Into the Pray and for his session on Elijah.
You can check out David's work in Australia here and his blog here.
You might like to read 1 Kings 17 before listening to this episode.
What significance does Elijah hold for us today as Bible-reading disciples of Jesus Christ, the Messiah?
David has kindly agreed to join us again next Friday for a second session on Elijah.
In two weeks's time we'll be joined by Michael Nazir-Ali who will be bridging for us into the life of Elisha.

Hello!
*UPDATE: you can listen to the song of praise we wrote after this two-part podcast here*
Today's midweek episode of Into the Pray finishes an impromptu 15 minute devotional that Nick posted on Sunday morning. If you've not listened to that you can do so for context here.
Psalm 106 and Psalm 107 relate very closely by helping us to understand the timeless way that the LORD works in the personal and corporate lives of His covenant people.
Remember Moses who turned aside to see the burning bush? Remember that it was only then that the LORD spoke? (Read Exodus 3)
Therefore, what is this heart-cry of these Psalms that the LORD is looking for from His people at this time? What is the nature of this cry?
Indeed, where is this cry?
We'd encourage you to sing a new song to Jesus. Perhaps you could compose something new? Perhaps you could be spontaneous? Perhaps you might be brave enough to actually allow the thankfulness of your heart to convert into actual singing in a public way?
A recently written song of worship that was part of our Calling YESHUA project reflects more of the lament of this Psalm's cry. Mairi and I will post another song in the forthcoming weeks that conveys more of its hope-filled joy.
If you haven’t watched Calling YESHUA yet, you can do so here.
You can also download the song for free here.

Hello everyone!
Welcome to this unplanned, impromptu version of Into the Pray. (Apologies about the seagulls!)
This episode is a brief devotional from Psalm 106 and, regarding our current juncture in church history, poses a vital question of the utmost importance at the end.

Hello everyone!
Thank you as always for taking the time to listen to this podcast. Please do consider sharing it to your networks for us.
Today we are joined by Brian Gray who, along with his wife Cathy, is serving as a Missionary in Honduras. We spoke a couple of months back about Critical Race Theory and, if you missed that, you can take a listen here.
To give you an idea of Brian's context, the recording of this podcast was actually slightly delayed due to their house being struck by lightening and consequently losing power!
Our focus this week is the prophet Samuel and, although barely scratching the surface, we at least begin to look at the exemplary life of this biblical stalwart.
What role did Samuel play in the biblical narrative? Why would Jesus have highlighted this specific man? What does he teach us today? What would he reasonably say to the Church today?
If you would like more info on Brian and Cathy Gray, and ways to support them, please see here.
If you haven't seen our new film yet, Calling YESHUA, (or heard the accompanying song of worship), you can do so here. Perhaps you could share this film to your networks for us?

Hello everyone!
Thank you for listening to our podcast!
N.B. we’ll be resuming our Sunday sessions on August 15th.
In this 30th episode of our teaching series, City of Temples, studying through the book of 1 Corinthians, we'll go through vv 15-22 of chapter 10.
Suffice to say, none of us need merely a transaction of information as we study the Bible; we all desperately need the awakening north and south winds of the Spirit of God. (See Song of Solomon 4:16).
If you haven't yet had a chance to prayerfully absorb our latest project, Calling YESHUA, you can do so here. On Friday we released a new music video for the worship song and you can watch/listen to that here.
If you would like to support this podcast and/or our wider work, please see here.
Until next week, may we be found praying maranatha!

Greetings All!
Thank you for taking the time to listen to this podcast - we're grateful for everyone who listens every week.
With Luke's words in Luke 24:27 very much in mind, today we go through a rapid overview of the life of the prophet Moses.
Moses was in many ways unique among the prophets. Both Mediator, Deliverer and an exemplar as a man of prayer, he knew deep friendship with Yahweh and was used mightily to redeem the Hebrews from Egyptian slavery.
Ultimately, Moses points us towards a greater exodus that is yet to happen and one that will cause the former to pale into relative insignificance.
“Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when it shall no longer be said, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’but ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them.’ For I will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers." (Jeremiah 16:14-15).
