Sharath Jeevan joins the podcast today to talk about motivation. Sharath is the author of “Intrinsic: A Manifesto to Reignite Your Inner Drive”. More about Sharath Jeevan: Sharath is the world’s leading expert on Intrinsic Leadership. He works with leading organizations including L’Oreal, Skyscanner and Shopify, the NHS, the Economist and Adecco Group Foundations, non-profits such as Teach for All, venture funds, and several national governments. He also teaches Intrinsic Leadership at both Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

As Executive Chairman of Intrinsic Labs, Sharath supports senior leaders in these organizations to navigate direction, build motivating cultures, and nurture potential. He does this through a “Guided Journey” process which creates a safe space for leaders to explore these leadership questions with their teams.

Sharath’s groundbreaking first book “Intrinsic” received acclaim from leading smart-thinking writers like Dan Heath and Nir Eyal, to business and education leaders to the former Prime Minister of Greece. He is currently working on a second book.

Sharath was awarded an OBE in the 2022 Queen’s New Year’s Honours for founding and leading STiR Education, arguably the world’s largest intrinsic motivation initiative. STIR re-ignited the motivation of 200,000 teachers, 35,000 schools and 7 million children in emerging countries.

Shararh’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Economist, The Telegraph. Financial Times, Forbes, Inc, NPR, CNN, CNBC, The Hindustan Times and The Times of India.

Sharath holds degrees from Cambridge University, Oxford University and INSEAD. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for his contributions to the field.
