Today we welcome Kat Short, a writer and poet exploring the art of personal storytelling, the intricacies of womanhood, and the winding journey of grief. She started her storytelling coaching business, Tell Your Damn Story, in 2017 and has worked with hundreds of individuals and organizations to bring their unique stories to life. In 2021, Kat launched Cafe Radiance, a new project intended to serve as a digital wellness space for creativity.
Olivia and Kat speak about how creativity provides an outlet of expression which in turn supports mindfulness, healing and well being. She provides tips and prompts of how to get started in your own storytelling and journaling practices. We cover dreams, intuition, grief work, and much more.
If you are looking to take your creativity to the next level, or have been feeling called to express yourself in a new way, listen in for deep wisdom and inspiration from Kat.
More about Kat Short. After losing her mother to complications with chemo in late 2023, she has turned her attention to writing full-time and will be self-publishing her grief chapbook, Upon Waking Without, in September 2024. She writes a bi-weekly letter called Live Like a Poem with resources, prompts, and reflections on living a creative life. You can find her on Instagram or at katshort.com
