Elye performs either as a soloist or with a variety of other musicians. In 2018 he was a finalist in the New Roots competition for young musicians under the age of 25. He is a member of the National Youth Folk Ensemble and has taken part in workshops run by award winning English folk musicians such as Andy Cutting and Sam Sweeney.
