Martin Olyett is a talented singer/songwriter whose observational material ranges from intimate to cinematic in its scope. He has been a longstanding and valued friend of Invisible Folk Club from the earliest days and was part of the original 3 Songwriters podcast that is still our most popular to date. In this new podcast, amongst many other things, Martin chats to host Jon Bickley about two subjects very close to his heart, namely guitars and Beatles. Amen to that!

Pete Castle began his professional folk singing and storytelling career 40 years ago. He has worked all over the UK in folk clubs, schools and libraries often in community projects. His repertoire is mainly traditional English songs and ballads but he has branched out into world music working with a Bengali musician in the late 1980s and Romanian folk musicians in the mid 1990s. He organised the Luton Folk Festival from 1976-82 and presented a folk show on local radio from 1981-87.

Songs From The Front is a collection of original songs by Jon Bickley & Alan Garmonsway inspired by letters and diaries of serving soldiers in the First World War. The songs tell of the bravery, the humour and the loss of these volunteers soldiers, as well as the love of those left behind.

To mark the hundredth anniversary of the Armistice Jon and Alan were joined by singers Anne Cunningham and Drew Thomas to perform a special concert at Chesham Folk Club on 26th November 2018.
