The Housing Agency of Jamaica (HAJ) says several challenges have prevented the transfer of the approximately 9,201 land titles in their custody to residents living in Brownfield Developments under the Operation Pride Programme. The disclosure was made by Managing Director of the Agency, Doreen Prendergast at Parliament's Public Administration and Appropriation Committee on Wednesday.

Works Minister Robert Morgan says the SPARK Main Roads Programme will equip roads with features to assist members of the special needs community.

Speaking at the launch of the programme this morning, Mr. Morgan said persons who are visually impaired will receive tactile cues from the road when they reach a pedestrian crossing or an intersection.

Minister for Efficiency, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Ambassador Audrey Marks is seeking to bring clarity to issues surrounding the Third Country Nationals agreement due to what she describes as "total misinformation."

She explains that a proposal relating to a structured migration programme for workers which was put to U.S. officials last year is different from the Third Country Nationals or TCN agreement which the United States initiated with Jamaica in January and for which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in June.
