Today's Rapid Fire topics include:

* Thoughts on reports that Alabama corner/nickel back DeVonta Smith will transfer to Notre Dame next season.

* Fill-in the blank…Charles Jagusah practicing with the other Irish offensive linemen today is BLANK.

* We have comments from Marcus Freeman on Irish receiver Beaux Collins and discuss our confidence heading into this Friday's CFP game.

* We have comments from Freeman on kicker Mitch Jeter, who missed a few short field goals at Monday morning's practice.

* How big of a letdown will it be if there’s no snow on the ground for Friday’s home playoff game?

* Fill-in the blank...It’s BLANK that eight of the top 10 Heisman Trophy vote getters started their careers at either FCS or Group of Five programs.

* Thoughts on Notre Dame women's basketball climbing back to No. 3 in this week's national rankings after notching three wins over top five teams in the last three weeks.

* Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell went with an onside kick down 10 points with 12 minutes to play in their loss to the Bills yesterday. Is the bigger flaw his decision to do it or the fact that with the new kickoff rule you have to declare the onside and lose all element of surprise?
