Notre Dame lost a lot from its 2023 defense, but also returns a lot of talent. Will the talent overcome the lack of experience? How does the changes in the coaching staff impact this group? Who steps up at the key positions up front, and can the Irish actually get better at positions like linebacker and in the secondary. Those are just some of the big story lines for the Irish defense heading into the spring.

Spring practice kicks off this week and it's a crucial period for the Notre Dame defense. The group was solid in year one but excellent in year two. What will year three bring? Will it be continued growth, or will the defense take a step back after losing so much experience? That's topic one in today's show.
