Notre Dame's pass rush in 2023 was much, much better than it is given credit for. In fact, it was one of the nation's very best. In part two of today's show I make the case for why this is, why it can be just as good (or better) in 2024, and why it's important to get better, especially against the run.

Rapid Fire topics include:

* Did Al Golden overachieve this season?

* Thoughts on Riley Leonard's recent ankle surgery.

* Thoughts on Michigan making a run at Notre Dame recruiting coordinator Chad Bowden.

* Who are the expectations higher for next season: Sherrone Moore at Michigan or Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame?

* Thoughts on number changes for Jeremiyah Love, Jordan Faison and Jaiden Ausberry.

* Michael Penix says Alabama will win a national championship within Kalen DeBoer’s first three years. Do you Buy or Sell it?

* Dan Patrick says Patrick Mahomes is now in the “I’d never bet against Patrick Mahomes” phase of his career. Do you Buy or Sell that?

* After Sunday’s NFC Championship game loss to the 49ers...Lions head coach Dan Campbell said “This may have been our only shot’ and "Getting back" to the NFC Championship game will be twice as hard. Some people have taken exception to the remark. We have our thoughts.

* Fill-in the blank...An Associated Press writer Tweeted this: With the 49ers and Chiefs having no Alabama players on active roster, a remarkable streak will continue. No player who finished college at Alabama has scored a point in a Super Bowl. Players from 143 other colleges from the Coast Guard to Miami have scored in Super Bowl. It’s BLANK that Alabama fans are triggered because quarterbacks like Bart Starr and Ken Stabler throwing TD passes should count.
