We start Rapid Fire with thoughts on how differently we would feel about Notre Dame’s upcoming season if Tyler Buchner was still the Irish quarterback and Sam Hartman had never transferred to Notre Dame.

Other topics include:

* Thoughts on Brian Kelly's recent comments that he couldn't be a 'fan' when he was at Notre Dame, but he can be at LSU.

* Audric Estime averaged 5.9 yards per carry last season. What will his average be this season?

* Fill-in the blank...It’s BLANK that on the same day former Notre Dame and current Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Zack Martin earned the coveted Madden 99 rating there were reports that he might not report to training camp next week until he gets a new contract.

* Bill Belichick is reportedly on the hot seat in New England if he doesn’t make the playoffs this year, while there’s talk that his longtime friend Nick Saban’s legacy could be tarnished if Alabama misses the College Football Playoff this year. Which do we think has more legitimacy to it?

* If Belichick does end up on the outside with the Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys don't at least get to the NFC Championship game, on a scale of 1 to 10...how strongly do we feel Jerry Jones would go after Belichick?

* Houston head coach Dana Holgerson says his team could be a premiere Big 12 program within the next five to 10 years. Do you Buy or Sell that?

* The Power Ball jackpot is up to $1 billion dollars today. Who’s the last person you would tell if you won?

* What’s the first thing you would do if you won?
