We start Rapid Fire by debating whether a Tobias Merriweather breakout season could look more like the one Will Fuller, Golden Tate, Equanimeeous St. Brown or Jeff Samardzija had.

Other topics include:

* Jesse's whiteboard on what kind of routes Merriweather could see this season.

* Jesse's thoughts on the movie 'Rudy'.

* Could Steve Angeli transfer midseason if Kenny Minchey passes him on the depth chart?

* What next season could look like for CJ Carr.

* If someone was only going to make ONE new 30 for 30 or docuseries that’s Notre Dame related, would you rather see one on the real story of Rudy or something else?

* Thoughts on the MLB All-Star Game uniforms.

* Thoughts on Texas pitcher Nate Eovaldi wearing a mic and talking to the game announcers while he was pitching.

* Thoughts on the home run derby broadcast on ESPN.

Rapid Fire starts with thoughts on Notre Dame commit CJ Carr falling in one of the latest recruiting rankings.

Other topics include:

* Thoughts on CBS Sports saying this could be a breakout season for Irish running back Audric Estime.

*Would 4,000 passing yards from Sam Hartman or 1,500 rushing yards from Estime be better for Notre Dame this season?

*Notre Dame apparel deal thoughts

* Which would be harder to stomach: Brian Kelly winning a national championship at LSU or Tommy Rees helps Alabama win a national championship?

* The Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites in Vegas to repeat as Super Bowl champions and the Georgia Bulldogs are the favorites to win another college football title. Would you bet on either to win it all or would you take the field?

* David Ross got ejected in the first inning of the Cubs’ game against the Yankees Sunday in their last game before the All Star break. We discuss the censored version of what Ross said to get him tossed.

Notre Dame's offensive line is expected to be very good in 2023, but they will have a new position coach and two new starters. There is a lot of talent, but also some questions. We broke down the line in today's show, and in part one we talked about the transition to Joe Rudolph, preview the talented tackles, center Zeke Correll and guard Andrew Kristofic.
