After we broke down the commitments of running back Kedren Young and offensive lineman Styles Prescod to Notre Dame we had our daily mailbag. There some excellent questions on today's show and we had to break the mailbag into three parts. Here is part one.

Rapid Fire starts with Jesse Stires' linebacker whiteboard. He breaks down the keys to good linebacker play. Other topics include:

* Thoughts on Lindy's Magazine projecting Notre Dame to play LSU in the Peach Bowl.

* Which conference is most likely to look the same as it does now in five years: The ACC or the Pac-12?

* Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes have a Vegas over/under win total of 3.5. We predict how we think they'll do.

* Thoughts on Shannon Sharpe leaving Fox’s Undisputed debate show with Skip Bayless.

* During college baseball’s NCAA Regionals last weekend a Tennessee outfielder was ejected for talking trash to a Clemson baserunner in extra innings while he was running in from the outfield. It prompted former Virginia pitcher turned analyst Stephen Schoch to Tweet "If we’re tossing someone for talking trash he ump should have to announce what was said over the PA. That way we can know if it’s warranted or not." Do we Buy or Sell it?

Today's Rapid Fire topics include:

* Lindy’s Magazine has Sam Hartman among its preseason Heisman Trophy candidates. Is a win over Ohio State a must if Hartman is going to win it?

* Thoughts on Notre Dame national championship lacrosse player Pat Kavanaugh saying he's thinking of walking on the Irish football team.

* Thoughts on barber Julio Rodriguez from Julio Cutz setting up shop at Notre Dame over the weekend during official visit weekend.

* Fox TV is going all-in on the Deion Sanders factor with its first two Big Noon kickoff games this season. They open the season with Sanders and Colorado vs TCU and follow that the next week with Colorado vs Nebraska. Do we Buy or Sell the Deion plan as a good plan?

* There have been recent rumblings that Colorado could be headed back to the Big 12. Do we Buy or Sell it as a good move?

* Fill-in the blank...It’s BLANK that the Chicago Cubs recently had Billy Williams bobblehead night. But instead of his retired No. 26 they had him wearing No. 1 on the bobblehead.

After opening the the show with discussion on Notre Dame great Todd Lyght making it on the College Football Hall of Fame Ballot, Sean Stires and Vince DeDario discuss whether it's time to update the Guglielmino football facility. What would it look like if Notre Dame did renovate the 18-year-old building and what should the priorities be?
