We start Rapid Fire with thoughts on ESPN's SP+ projection of how much they predict Notre Dame to score this season. Other topics include:
*Should Notre Dame football players have names on the back of their jerseys?
*If you had the choice, would you rather they have names on their jerseys or wear green jerseys more often?
*The University of Tennessee is looking at building a 12-story boutique hotel that overlooks Neyland Stadium. In addition to the hotel, the school wants to build an entertainment district, filled with restaurants and retail shops and a rooftop bar...all next to their football stadium. If you’ve been to Wrigley Field in the last few years it’s similar to what they have there. Is this something you could see or would want to see Notre Dame do?
*Should Notre Dame stay with Under Armour or go with Nike or Adidas with its next apparel deal?

We had our Friday Free-For-All Mailbag today and there were plenty of great questions about Notre Dame football and other topics. As always, the show was too long for just one segment, so we turned it into three different parts. Here is part three.

We kicked off our Friday Notre Dame Mailbag with a very good question about Marcus Freeman. We discuss the things he's done well, the mistakes we've seen and the current direction as a program. Part of this answer explains our optimism for the 2023 season

We start Rapid Fire with what has us most excited and most concerned about the start of Notre Dame's season, which is exactly 100 days away. Other topics include:
* We talked on Wednesday about ESPN’s quarterback tier article that has Sam Hartman in tier 4 with more than 20 quarterbacks ranked ahead of him. So, which quarterbacks would we actually take instead of Hartman right now if we had our choice?
* The ACC appears to be nearing a new agreement on revenue distribution that would give a larger share of postseason revenue -- including from a soon-to-expand College Football Playoff -- to the teams that participate in those postseason games rather than dividing all the revenue equally among all conference members. Do we Buy or Sell it?
* SI’s Ross Dellenger reported this week that if the Big 12 can’t get the Pac 12 teams its been pursuing to join the conference UConn is next on its wish list. Do you Buy or Sell UConn in the Big 12?
* The NFL’s director of broadcasting, Mike North, was on the SI Media Podcast this week. The host, Jimmy Traina, asked him why the Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers have five prime time games this season. North said in part that it’s because the Packers have a track record of turning inexperienced quarterbacks into winners. We have thoughts on that.
* Colorado vs TCU is going to be Fox’s first Big Noon Kickoff game of the season on September 2nd. On a scale of 1 o 10, how much does it move the needle for us ?
* Colorado currently has a Vegas over/under win total for this season of 3.5. The Atlanta Falcons win total is 8.5 and the Chicago Bears are at 7.5. Which is more likely to go over?
