Notre Dame picked up a commitment from 2024 Nebraska linebacker Teddy Rezac. To kick off today's show we discussed how this commitment came to be, how Rezac fits into the Irish offense and shared a lot of other thoughts about his commitment.

We start Rapid Fire by discussing the news that Notre Dame’s exclusive negotiating period with Under Armour has expired, which makes Notre Dame free to negotiate its shoe and apparel deal on the open market. Other topics include:

* Notre Dame cornerbacks and linebackers are in the top 10 in preseason positional rankings. 

* Former Irish and current Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees is also ranked among the top 10 college offensive coordinators. Would he be as highly considered if he were still at Notre Dame?

Notre Dame is going through an important strategy change on the recruiting trail thanks to head coach Marcus Freeman, and his director of recruiting, Chad Bowden. IB dives into some Notre Dame recruiting trends in the 2024 recruiting class that show off this strategy. That includes some key states and areas that the Irish staff seem to be building pipelines in. Some states included were Texas, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina and the Midwest as a whole.
