On this week’s episode, Hannah Furlong is joined by cook, nutritionist, entrepreneur and part-time beef farmer Eoin Sheehan from County Limerick.

Having grown up on a dairy farm, Eoin chats about how himself and his father now manage the farm which has transitioned to beef, rearing Belted Galloways.

A new venture which Eoin has jumped into in recent years is beekeeping and he discusses the enjoyment and benefits of making your own local honey.

Eoin speaks about his career journey which he said has not always been linear. He graduated with a degree in engineering from University Limerick however he then went on to qualify as a nutritionist as he realised his passion lied with nutrition and cooking.

Using this passion, Eoin set up his own sports catering and meal prep business ‘Country Munch’, supplying healthy, nourishing meals to professional and semi-professional teams, athletes and workers.

Eoin can also be seen cooking on the ‘Six O’Clock Show’ on Virgin Media One and he travels the country giving cookery and nutrition demonstrations to corporates, teams and groups.

Recently, Eoin was a speaking on a panel discussion with Our Food Roots, discussing how we can better connect consumers with where their food comes from, a subject he believes is very important.
