This process causes some moonquakes and surface cracks, which are pretty fascinating to study. Think of it like a raisin – as the Moon cools down, it wrinkles and contracts a bit. It’s a natural process that has been happening for a long, long time. These moonquakes are nowhere near as powerful as the earthquakes we experience here on Earth, so they’re not really a threat. But will it change in the future?
