Zoho’s model—built without foreign funding and with servers that keep Indian data on Indian soil—illustrates how homegrown innovation can strengthen both digital sovereignty and economic resilience. Just as UPI transformed payments by breaking dependence on Visa and Mastercard, Monika suggests India can now extend that success to digital services, reducing exposure to foreign control and keeping value creation domestic.
