As Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi understood the importance of disaster resilient infrastructure during the rebuilding of Kutch after the horrific earthquake in 2001. He nurtured a dream to form a global coalition for disaster resilient infrastructure. Five years on, the coalition has morphed into a global advocacy group, which has 40 member nations and seven international organisations and is growing at a rapid pace.
