Russia says it will “drastically reduce military activity” on two fronts - Kyiv and Chernihiv, following diplomatic talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul. But skepticism abounds from the White House, with the Pentagon calling the move a minor “repositioning, not a withdrawal”, as heavy shelling continues. Russia says it is now focusing on the “liberation of Donbas”.

The White House phone records of January 6 show a seven-hour gap in Trump's calls. With the House panel now investigating whether Trump communicated through backchannels, phones of aides or “burner phones”, will we finally get to the bottom of who the former President spoke with on the day of the insurrection?
