You hear a lot of negative talk surrounding non conformity, mostly from people who don't take the time to understand. They see only what they want to see, judging people for being different.
.
A lot of people are intimidated by non conformists because they themselves are deeply unconscious. They are afraid because they don't understand them or lack the courage to be guided buy their own values and standards as a man. It's easier to hang shit on them for thinking different and going against the grain. It's a very sad place to be and it's a sign of weakness.
.
A non conformist isn't someone who goes around making trouble for the fun of it. They're not being a non conformist just to be different. Sure, they're an outlaw in a sense because they do things their way whether you like them or not and a lot of people find that intimidating. A true non conformist is someone who has done the very difficult work of growing from the inside out, they know who they are, they know where they're going and they're not afraid to walk their walk, alone if they have to.
We are excited to bring you the second episode in our series on Kyokushin Karate with Sensei Jason Crimmin, Head Instructor of the Senjo Dojo in Cairns, Australia.
.
Crimmin Sensei and I talk about the legendary founder, Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, prepping for a tournament, diet and nutrition and some of the highlights of Jason’s tournament career. You don’t want to miss this, a few laughs and lots of wisdom from life experience.
We often here the saying " the world owes you nothing"! but don't often hear the second part of it.
.
The world owes you nothing, but equally you don't owe it. You don't need validation or permission to shine. You don't need validation or permission to win, achieve and succeed. You don't need validation or permission to stop living life through other people's expectations.
.
No one asks you for your permission and equally you don't need it from anyone else. Go out there and start designing, creating, building and living your dream life. Go out there and be your best self and fuck anyone who has a problem with you doing it.
So many people put off beginning their extraordinary journey because they don't want to be seen starting at the bottom. They think they don't have the right, they're not educated enough, they're not smart enough but in truth, it's their own ego that holds them back.
.
Don't let that be you or you'll end up being an old uninspired, cynical quitter trying to talk other people out of living their best life because you had the courage of a wet mop.
.
Start at the bottom, with and open mind and an empty cup and start moving forward.
Building a start up is exciting. Thinking big, taking action, smashing goals.... When you hit those targets along the way, no matter how small the wins are, it is extremely satisfying. It hits different when your hard work and sacrifice pays off but it's not all sunshine and pretty rainbows.
.
In this episode of the It Ain't Wrong to be Strong Podcast Series, we want to share a little insight into how we got started, what we had to overcome at RAMMFIT Athleisure and how working with professionals like Dan and his team from Vesanique can elevate your side hustle into something more polished and professional. A brand with depth and a clear message and tone that resonates with your customers/ clients/ community.
.
We hope you get some value out of this because if one man's hopes, dreams, goals and ambitions can come true with courage, drive and determination, so can yours.
Kyokushin Karate is a style of karate, characterized by its realistic full-contact style of fighting but many people don't know, that is just the tip of the iceberg.
.
Kyokushin is an art, an effective form of self-defense and a physically and mentally demanding, hard style of karate. The ultimate test of character through the rigors of hard training, designed to strengthen both the mind and the body. I had the pleasure of talking to Sensei Jason Crimmin, fourth degree black belt, about the fundamentals, the etiquette, the mindset and his extensive tournament career both in Australia and in Japan.
.
The first of many discussions Crimmin Sensei and I will be having about the legendary founder Sosai Mas Oyama and the art of Kyokushin Karate.
How one man took his epic back story full of violence, crime, prison and overcoming drug addiction to being one of New Zealand's most sought after and influential personal trainers.
.
Poutawa @Fit2Guk is an inspirational man who is energizing his people, his nation and people from all over the world to live a stronger, healthier lifestyle, make better choices for themselves and their families and also build the intestinal fortitude to take their own epic back story and win!
People say a lot, I watch what people do.
.
There are a lot of people out there who tell you what they're going to do and in a years time, they're still telling you the same old story only this time, they're making excuses as to why they haven't taken action. I've heard it all.
.
So the next time you start telling yourself you can't do something, remember people have started with less than you have right now and win so stop telling yourself you don't have the resources, the money, the time or the knowledge. Start taking action, educate yourself on the path through trial and error and start making shit happen.
We need to stop being threatened by empowered men because an empowered man is a strong man and a strong is capable of doing extraordinary things. Empowered men know how to take ownership and silence their inner critic.
.
We also need to stop talking about aggression like it's a bad thing. Aggression is a natural behaviour/ emotion. The difference is knowing how to harness, control, focus and channel that aggression, using it as a positive force to propel you further along your path.
