On this weeks episode of the pod, we're still on 1990s the Deadliest Decade --Episode 7: A Dangerous Man.

Jonathan Levin was someone who thought money and wealth was a horcrux to society.  To get fulfillment out of life, he dedicated himself to being an english teacher at Taft High School, which was on the toughest High Schools in the United States. Jonathan was unwavering in his support and belief in his students, staying late and giving up his weekends to tutoring and life lessons.  

That is why it was a shock to the entire Bronx community when Jonathan turned murdered in his apartment. It was a further shock to find out post his death he was the son of the CEO of Time Warner. What was a son of a millionare doing in a run down apartment teaching at Taft High School? And who could have murdered him?

Was it a robbery for his money gone wrong? Could it have been a jealous husband in enrage of one of Jonathan's married girlfriends? Could he have been a victim of infamous serial killer. Amdrew Cunanan?

This week we're headed to Miami (Welcome to Miami!..) to try to solve the kidnapping of  Frank Griga and Krisztina Furton. Who took Frank and Krisztina and where could they be?  A crack in the case comes from a similar situation that happened to Marc Schiller, a man who had been beaten, extorted of all of his assets, and left for dead. Did those who did this to Marc also kidnap Frank and Krisztina?   What was the motive behind these crimes? It was at this airbase, that things went horrible wrong. One night. Tracie goes missing.  No one knows where she could have gone or if someone had taken her. Is it easy to be kidnapped on a military base? Had she gone AWOL to be with her lover in Virginia?  Did her drill sergeant who Tracie eerily resembled have anything to do with it? Cruise with us to 1996, for the fourth episode of 1990's the deadliest decade.  It was one year and one day past the bombing of Oklahoma City when a pepsi plant was bombed in Fort Meyers Florida.  No one had any idea who had committed such an act of domestic terrorism, but soon the police couldn't focus on this, as a favored teacher in Fort Meyers was found dead, shot point blank in the threshold of his home.  Who could have done such a thing? Was it his new girlfriend, or possibly his new girlfriends MARRIED CURRENT BOYFRIEND?  Or was it someone else completely. Could there be anti-establishment gang running the streets of the sleepy town of Fort Meyers? Come along for the ride as we cover 1996: THE LORDS OF CHAOS. 

This week we're on episode 3 of our 1990's the Deadliest Decade coverage with : Death of an Angel.  It was 1996 and NYC Club kids were running the party scene.  Michael Alig was the king of club promotion and everyone who was anyone was at his party. Andre Melendez, a pier queen at the time, was sucked into the club kid life by Michael Alig and was soon selling every synthetic drug imaginable. Everyone knew if you saw two large angel wings that Andre "Angel" Melendez was there to keep the party going.   That is until he disappeared. Club kids were noticing that Angel hadn't been at the party for a few weeks....  and then body parts were discovered Staten Island.     Were they Angels? Who would kill kill him?  Was drugs involved?

We continue with the TV series 1990s: The Deadliest Decade with Episode 2, The New Girl.  Trigger warning for this episode. This is by far the most gruesome and disgusting case we've covered to date, and that is an understatement.

Shanda Sharer was an innocent 12 year old girl who fell in love with another classmate at her new school.  This classmate , Amanda Heavrin, not only brought new feelings to Shanda that she never experienced before, but also made her the target for Amanda Heavrin's ex-girlfriend jealousy.

It was this jealousy that made Melinda Loveless hunt down three other girls to go along with her murder plot and carry out the brutal and heinous killing of Shanda Sharer. 

This is a case that will stick with you long after you finish the episode.

This week Sam stumbled upon a new true crime series --- 1990's the DEADLIEST DECADE!! It turned out to be a treasure trove of true crime stories and for the next 8 weeks, we'll be covering each episode one by one.  Episode one was labeled LONE STAR and covered the death of Houston socialite Doris Elizabeth Angleton.   Doris was found murdered in her kitchen and the police immediately began looking at her husband for the death.. but he was coaching their daughters softball game at the time -- how could it be him?   Could it possibly have been her secret ONLINE lover? Or another suspect discovered from her husbands seedy business dealings?  WHO KNOWS! Come listen to Sam and Jeff fight it out over who truly killed Doris on this weeks episode!
