The Embodiment of Grace: When the Grace of God puts on flesh we reap the benefits of the fullness of grace and truth. We see the depths of God's love for humanity as Jesus chooses to put on our covering to give us hope.

Many have said or say that there are many who say they have the truth. Even Pilate was uncertain of what was legitimate truth. (John 18:37-38).  This question came after Jesus tells Pilate why He came into the world, to bear witness of the truth. In this we see why His own didn't receive Him...because they were unfamiliar with the truth. (John 1:13)

In these few verses, we learn more about John, and the plan of God for him.  We also learn that we too should be crying in the wilderness (the world) making Christ known in a broken world. We have been given the same mission.

In verses 3-5 John shares the impact the Word had and has on and in the world which He has created.  And gives  us two more layers to peel away that reveals Jesus Christ as 'Life & Light'.

Learning about Jesus through the inspired perspective of the Disciple John.

 John takes us to where it all begins.

Besides being one of my favorite books, John’s opening line always interest me because it starts with the same line that is in Genesis 1:1…”In the beginning…” There are several topical connections between the two that in some ways mirror each other. From John’s perspective we get to know and see Jesus from an interesting point of view, so let’s see what can be found in our hearts, Line upon Line!

In Psalms 23:4 David says, “…though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me…”

In this verse we can find something to take note of when we are in our valley moments, no matter what it is...God is with us.  

We can sometimes see the valley as the mountain which blinds us from seeing God as the mountain. The testimony that Veronica shares reveals to us that if we are aware of God being there in our valleys, in every situation, we can see our valley as a place to know God deeper and just maybe, we will find out that God desires to use us there for His purpose.

How do we handle truth?  When we hear it how do we respond?  Do we run towards it broken and repenting or run away offensively cursing, because of it? This is the tale of Two Stoning, and it was found in my heart.

Have you ever asked God a question about something, and He responds quickly and in amazing way?  Well, this was one of those times for me.

As I was quietly meditating on how difficult it was to focus on Him, because it doesn’t take much to redirect me to busy thinking, being still had cross my mind as I sat in a dark room with my eyes closed. We know, when we’re trying to focus on God, how hearing things can distract but even seeing can reveal things that distract us; I guess we can consider it as seeing noise. 

 Not completely sure of the exact question but I opened my eyes and He taught and gave me a life changing moment that was found in my heart.

According to the Gospels this is what was well-known about Barabbas: 

A prisoner
A Murderer
A robber 
A Rioter bringing about discord and dissension

BUT…

Jesus was seen as a just man Matt 27:19

They wanted to save (release) Barabbas vs 21, and They wanted to destroy (crucify) Jesus, (Pilate knew that they were envious of Him) vs 18,20,22

Choosing man (Barabbas) over God 

So tell me, do you have a Barabbas in your life?

How do we identify ourselves? If someone wanted to find you, what would be the best identifier to locate you? Your hair style? How you walk. Maybe it’s your gender, race or how you laugh.  What do you think is the best or favorite way we identify a person? That’s right, I heard ya, our name!
 
 Why am I talking about identifiers and what does it have to do with 'Unbelievable Love', well sit tight and listen to…what was found in my heart.
