In this episode, I talk to one of the main themes of this podcast - authenticity. I talk through my understanding of this internal feeling, what it means to honour it, and more importantly, what happens when I don’t. I look back on a hard lesson I experienced where I ignored this call, and my integrity came into question through my own wrong doing, and I talk to 5 key points I believe are crucial in bringing myself to account each day.

In this episode, I break down an old ‘break-down'; a time when I found myself battling with what it meant for my internal self to not want what the external self was experiencing. This concept of identity is deep and complex, and I certainly don’t claim to be an expert, but I take the time to talk through my experience, what I learned and some steps I took to consciously manage the process of an ever changing reality.

In this episode, I want to share a recent battle of my own, in what should be a super exciting achievement, but turned out to be a super challenging and anxious situation. For me, it demonstrated that no matter the person, no matter the situation, great or small, it is all relevant and we all need that little bit of courage to take the next step.

In this episode, I tackle a rather challenging belief of my own and share an analogy of how I now understand and deal with this concept. There are too many occasions when I have believed that I hold control over all that is taking place, and I get battered in the process. When, in reality, if I let the winds of change take place, life has a new breath of air and excitement swept into it.

In this episode, I share a rather pivotal life lesson that still sits with me to this day, from my time in Nepal when I was 21. I begin here, as I feel it is something we all need to remember, especially in a time when we are seeing so much divide in the world. No matter your story, and no matter how diverse we may seem on the outside, in many ways, we are all the same.

Welcome to Itch. My name’s Luke, I’m 32 years old, and I’m from Australia. I’ve spent my life with an insatiable curiosity, an ‘itch’ if you will, and a need to understand more. This podcast is born of that curiosity, my love of story telling, a desire to seek alternative perspectives, view life through a lense of grey, rather than black and white, and continue on my path to seeking authenticity. I take you on a short journey of my past or recent experiences, discuss situations encountered and lessons learned, and provide an opportunity for the you, the listener, to think about this in your own life, with the hope to gain some new insight for yourselves and see if it can add any value to your everyday.
