Murupara in the Bay of Plenty has the lowest vaccination uptake of any town in the country.

Less than one-third of Murupara residents have gotten even one jab, and just sixteen percent are fully vaccinated.

Nationally, 80 percent of eligible New Zealanders have had at least one dose and more than half are fully vaccinated
