  • DJ Dan and the epidemic of DJs
A question running through our minds at late, and possibly yours too, is what’s with the epidemic of DJs?? Every 20 something year old boy seems to be side hustling hard in this field, so Dan’s on to explain what the go is. He took up spinning plates during COVID and it took off from there. The trend for Dan and a few of his mates has turned into creating a day party company called Day Break Club. Dan is a big vibe and we can’t wait to jam to some of his tunes at an upcoming Day Break event. Find Day Break Club on the socials (and to keep up to day with their events!!) on FB https://m.facebook.com/findyourdaybreak/ or insta @daybreak.club

  • Lucky (Straps) we listened to Justin!
We’re callin it, Justin is the side hustle king. He is the founder of Lucky Straps, a leather camera strap company, and joins us on the poddy to give us all the deets on it. We love Justin’s philosophy on turning hobbies into hustles and “not work a day in your day”... forget the 9-5!! He tells us how to take action on setting up a business (aka just do it), what to do when things don’t go to plan, how to track sales and promoting your biz. He also shares his experience making the big time and collaborating with the hugeeee camera brand, Canon. #HWPO. If you’ve ever thought of starting your own lil gig, this ep is a must listen xx

  • The questions you wanted answered...
A lil disclaimer on this ep. It has a M rating... and shoutout to our parents, even though we say nice things about you in this, some questions we answer you would probs rather not want to hear from your children. Anywayyyyy, if you haven't already noticed, a trend that happens on public holidays is that when uploads fall on public holidays we tend to do an episode of just the twins with no guest. HOWEVER, in this fun one we have Kirty (our insta manager) asking us questions that were originally asked from you guys via our insta stories. She kicked us off the account one day so we had no idea what the questions were. We were real nervous about not knowing what we were being asked/would have to answer but this was a load of fun so THANK YOU to everyone who sent some q's in. Mwah Mwah xx

  • Drooling over Daniel's Desserts
Calories don't count when they're local and they are as impeccable as Daniel's!?!? Maybe this is why Al and Lize's dresses have started to not zip up... whoops! He treats us on this ep with telling us about his time on Zumbo's Just Desserts and gives us a glimpse of the BTS of reality TV shows and just how not-so-glamorous they really are. We delve into his life as a pastry chef and the technical side of it all. The real question we wanted answered was how he gets his layers in his desserts (if you know you know) so pronounced and how long they take to make... Be sure to be following Daniel on the socials to keep up with his creations and collabs. His handle is @daniel.justdessertsau
What a treat for It's A Time listeners!! Enjoy xx

  • Queen Dee’s WBFF dream
This girl is fire!! Following her dream of becoming a WBFF queen, Dee delves into the world of this body building, pageant glam world. Wow, body building has way more to it than we thought. The training, the diet, the tan, the hair, the makeup, the costumes, the posing, the coaching... phewwww, it ain’t for the faint hearted. We ask Dee about her fitness journey from way back when, what it’s like being on a training and meal plan for a prolonged period of time, whether girls use body building to mask body image struggles and how she balances all of this along with uni studies, work and her own PT business; Confidence Strength Coaching. This is a fab listen if you have ever thought about doing body building. However, as you listen you can hear the determination in her voice so you can take this and use it as inspo for whatever journey you wish to pursue. If you want to know more about this Wonder Woman, she is on the gram as @davina_wbff as well as her PT business, @confidencestrengthcoaching along with her website https://davinacscoaching.wixsite.com/website Keep sparkling honeybees mwah xx

  • IV(F) got this with LJ & Steve
Al and I weren't even sure what IVF stood for let alone what is was and the process it involved before LJ & Steve recorded with us! They are two amazing people who had gone down the IVF path (quite a few times!!) and they were kind enough to share their incredible journey of this taboo topic. They are real and raw about the whole thing in this ep, outlining infertility and how they knew, expenses involved, the emotional roller coaster of the constant fails and the so called "pressure" to have to children as a couple getting older. BUT how beautiful it is to be able to bring a human into the world via this method. It's a super interesting one, one for the guys as well!

  • Teal translates Coeliac disease
We're glad the "trend" of saying "oooh, I'm gluten free" is over... and so are those with Coeliac disease. Teal was diagnosed with Coeliac disease when she was super young and we found out just how much more there is to eat than just feeling sick for 24 hours. She describes the physical symptoms that pretty much kick in straight away and the long term effects (mind blowing stuff!!). This is a great listen for anyone out there with food intolerances too, as Teal describes travel / events and the anxiety vs FOMO thought around these. We came to the conclusion that education is key with this kinda condition and it really isn't hard to be accomodating if you have the awareness.

  • CrossFit Unpacked with Yelana
CrossFit is for anybody.... hang on, say it louder for the people up the back... CrossFit is for ANYBODY! Yelana approached us one day and asked, if CrossFit basically changed your perception on life, why hasn't it been discussed more on your poddy?? We never really realised, but when she said this we were quite surprised ourselves that it hadn't come up more! However it has become something in our routine, something we just get up and go-to and not think too hard about, just like brushing your teeth. But we are here to give it the credit that it deserves and we knew there was no better way to introduce it on this poddy than by Yelana herself. This incred lady is the boss babe who runs CrossFit Dauntless, the beloved gym we go to. We discuss the question of what CrossFit is (the question every CrossFitter hates!), lifelong fitness, how it is you vs you and no one else, putting the CrossFit mindset to other things in life and celebrating how much we are lifting rather than how much we're losing! Yelana also delves into prioritisation aka how to get shit done, longevity, goals and the power of tiny improvements. To see why we hype on about this place, head to the gyms website http://www.crossfitdauntless.com.au/ and sign-up to the free trial! You are never too young or old to start... see you at the box.

  • Selflessness, Separation and Sincereness with Meags
Howdy partners! On this ep of It's A Time we are throwing back to our aerobics days and we have Meags, our previous coach, on the poddy!! She is a role model to us, going through the toughest of times all while doing selfless gestures. She delves into her experience being a single mum (she's not a regular mum, she's a cool mum!), experiencing a separation with young kids and uni life. We love Meags and her outlook on life... she accepts everything in her stride and gets on with it! PS we think everyone should have Charlotte vibes... listen to find out.

  • Telling It (Type 1 Diabetes) Like It Is with Giff
There is a bit of confusion out there about Type 1 Diabetes soooo Kate (aka Giff) is on It's A Time to clear this up. Giff was diagnosed with this illness at the young age of nine. Now, for most kids, when you're nine your biggest inconvenience is probably is being invited to Oliver's birthday party but also being invited to Cindy's on the same day and having to choose between the two. However, for this brave gal it was monitoring BSLs, injecting insulin, regular appointments and trying to explain Type 1 Diabetes to the other kids. She goes into depth about what this illness is, Type 1 vs. Type 2, the battle of mental health and Diabetes and hypos/hypers. She expresses that no one is a Type 1 Diabetic, they are not the illness... They are in fact *insert person's name* who has Type 1 Diabetes. Although stating that somedays she just doesn't want to have Type 1 Diabetes, Giff shares a beautiful and inspiring message to not let this illness, or any illness stop you from doing anything or let people tell you that.
