A honest and epic conversation about creating art. Amy is a performer from L.A. who I've worked with for many years designing cover art for her music, I've been wanting to sit down to talk about her process ever since IAITM started, well, we finally did and it's one of my favourites! Her new "Fuck It I'm Good" Remix EP accompanied with a merch drop is available everywhere May 7th! www.amy818.com
Brooklyn-based music producer Phuse (Jarel Hill) gives a window into his daily process sharing inspirational stories of growth as an artist from being a party DJ to now transporting the listener through his own music. Today is the 1 year anniversary of the podcast! A huge thank you to every single person who's ever pressed play. In this episode I give a quick summary of each episode from the past year and also talk about triskaidekaphobia (including attempting to pronounce it) seeming as this is episode 13 and the date is Friday the 13th! Spooky?

Tyler is the founder of the Netherlands-based clothing brand Sub Native. Originally from Beverly, a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts, I spoke with him about moving to another country, the design process, what he went through to start a brand, and what it’s like to battle with self doubt to build a life you want. A deep dive into where in the mind inspiration bubbles up from and once found how it can become an inexhaustible source of creative energy.
Returning with a late-night recording of the IAITM pod for International Podcast Day (Sept 30 2020), welcome to episode 10. Here, authentic expression is the special on the menu as I discuss poetry, painting, acting, music and more, referencing some of my favorite actors, films, musicians and song lyrics of late. Pt. 2 coming soon.
A diamond is formed from immense pressure and temperatures deep within the earth over a period of 1-3 billion years. We don’t have that amount of time to turn the pressures of today into something beautiful, we must do so NOW. Can we use this stress to inspire new gems of society, new philosophies, art, music, film, mentalities, mindsets? In episode 9 I talk about the world of 2020 and, as always, get into topics mainly surrounding art and creativity. I mention Henry Matisse and his influence on my recent paper cut-outs project, Rene Magritte, Chirico’s “The Song of Love” and think about the birth of artistic style.
