The Philadelphia Eagles start the 2019 season with a Divisional victory over the Washington Redskins. As Miho predicted, things started very slow for the Birds as the Skins took early leads of 17-0 and 20-7. Everything seemed to slow down for Carson Wentz and the rest of the offense after a big play score to Desean Jackson late in the first half. The 2nd half was all Eagles as they took control and dominated the entire 30 min.

The Road to Victory Series will be back this Friday with a preview of week 2 and the Atlanta Falcons? How are you feeling heading into week 2?!?

In this series, Miho will be joined by his father, Chris Mihalik, who is a University of Pittsburgh Alum to discuss all things Pitt Football. Chris is former Pitt Panther Baseball player, a long-time season ticket holder, and die-hard Pitt fan. This will be a weekly series breaking down the previous Pitt game while previewing what lies ahead. Pitt is currently 0-1 after a dismal performance in the opener against Virginia. Kenny Pickett and the offence left much to be desired and have a ton to improve on. The Defense overall played well, led by Paris Ford who looks like a difference-maker! Do you think Pitt can bounce back against Ohio and cover the 5.5 spread?!?

This is going to be a special edition week on 2Close2Call. Miho and Pags are currently in Kiawah Island, SC. It is a golf week (yes, the ocean course will be played) with a wedding to cap it off! In these episodes there will be no intro, no outro, no editing, and the audio may also skip, this is due to the internet on the island being a little funky out on the deck by the ocean...

We have special guests Mark Smith, Bob Lesser, and Chris Mihalik on this episode and in the coming days, we will have many many more!

The Phillies made a move on the coaching staff by firing John Mallee and bring back fan favorite Charlie Manuel. They then followed this up by sweeping the Cubs, capped by the most electric moment at Citizens Bank Park in almost a decade, in Bryce Harper's homerun! The Phillies decided to follow up all of the positive momentum by losing 2 of 3 to the lowly Padres. THIS TEAM IS SO FRUSTRATING!

The Eagles are fighting the injury bug specifically at the Quarterback position. Josh McCown was brought in to be the backup in what looks like a quality move for a team with super bowl aspirations. Pags is concerned about Big Vs development at RG and if Wiz is going to be able to get over the yips! Ronald Darby is back at practice and working with the first team. Douglas and Jones will continue to battle to see who will win the starting spot!
