March 17, 2023 How do you say my social bucket is full in friend?
You know how it is.. you book yourself to hang out but then you get bogged down with work, you had a rough night and now you're overwhelmed. But, it's a standing date with the girls. As a mom with mega anxiety, I'm always worried that I'm letting my friends down. I'm afraid of losing my friends because I have really good friends but my social capacity is at the max after one visit. It takes me about 10 days to recover - legit! How do you communicate those feelings of needing to sit this social gathering out? I'm working on how to do it and also feel ok with it. I think it's more me, really. February 24, 2023 Don't be scared to ask for what you want!
No one is going to guess that you're stressed out and need a break. If you act like everything is ok, it will be fair to assume that it's ok. I realized recently that I wasn't ok and wasn't saying or telling the people around me what I needed and was mad and hurt. I had a major fall out with the fam and discovered that I was harboring resentment. Listen in as I talk about what that was and how I am going to fix it. Cheers!

December 09, 2022 Chill out!! I can’t!!
Can you just relax? Just sit and relax.. I can’t. It’s legit so stressful for me to stop. I always have to be doing something. I saw my mom do it too and in my mind, being busy means being a hardworking woman. I can be hardworking and still take a break. It’s ok to take a break. Take a break. I challenge you to take a 15 minute break and really do something for you without distractions and focus on yourself. I will do the challenge with you, I promise. February 25, 2022 I’m a firecracker and overreactive but I’m learning to control myself… kinda?
In life, it’s 90% of what happens to you and 10% of how you react to those situations. I have always been reactive, like really reactive. But recently, I decided to change this a little. I’m still learning that I can only control myself and those around me. But how can you change 40 years of this habit? Take it one day at a time.
