Has there been a time where you felt like you should have said something but you didn't? Are you able to speak up and hold your boundaries? Or are you always inconveniencing yourself?
As people pleasers, we tend to shy away from telling people what we truly want. We think that if we speak up that it will come off too harshly, people won't accept us and we worry that it will make others uncomfortable.
Well it's time to change that. It's time to start speaking up for ourselves and be more assertive. And we can do it in a way that makes us show up even more authentically. To help us with this, we are joined by Cara Tuttle Bell.
Cara Tuttle Bell is a speaker, author, consultant, and an activist-educator with over fifteen years experience working in higher education on gender equity, sexual harassment and assault prevention, and assertiveness. Cara is the author of Drowning in Timidity: Women, Politeness, and the Power of Assertive Living.
In this episode, Cara teaches us how to be assertive, not aggressive, learn how to show up for yourself, communicate your needs and how being assertive helps you be authentic.

As people pleasers, it's often hard for us to trust and listen to ourselves. We are so filled with the voices of other people and what they want us to do and what they think we should do. We push aside the small whispers (or don't even hear them) inside of us that tell us to do or not to do something because the outside voices are louder.
To help us really take control of our lives, we need to pay attention to those whispers. We need to lean into them and take action. And I know that's not as easy as it sounds, so we are joined by Elena Sonnino to help us out.
Elena Sonnino is a life coach, speaker, yoga teacher and now author of Inhabit Your Joy: A Book of Nudges. In this episode, she shares her experience from ignoring the whispers to living her life based off of the whispers.
Elena teaches us how to listen to our whispers, how to become our own best friend and how to live into our personal core values.
This episode will help you to get back to the person you are meant to be and take control of your life.

The journey from people pleasing to living life on your terms is going to require some changes. And the ability to change starts with making a decision.
To help us put ourselves first, we need to decide to love ourselves, to choose ourselves and to believe in ourselves.
When we make that decision to put ourselves first, we stop focusing on external approval, we stop worrying about what other people think and we stop worrying about pleasing everyone else.
Debbie Freeman joins us for this episode to share her journey of having a succcesful career as a performer, entrepreneur and dance captain of the Radio City Rockettes, to losing everything when she went through a divorce with an addict to making the choice to take back her life, lose 100 pounds and become Ms. Nevada at the age of 51.

It's easy to live life out of alignment when we're focused on external valdiation. As people pleasers, it's easy for us to get caught up in whatever other people think of us, how other people define success and do whatever will give us the attention and validation we think we need. And when we are living out of alignment we are not living to our fullest potential.
So how does one stop people pleasing and step into their power? Is it even possible after being a lifelong habitual people pleaser? The answer is YES! Of course, stepping out of people pleasing and into your power isn't easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. It takes major mindset shifts, daily practices, and drastic action toward loving oneself. Although it may seem difficult, it is possible, and it is something our guest on today's episode has been able to achieve.
From people pleasing from a young age to protect herself and her family, to stepping into her most empowered self where she is now able to help others do the same. Erin Bogdan, authenticity coach, soul purpose activator, and recovering people pleaser, joins us today to share her journey with cultivating self worth to step out of people pleasing and into her most authentic self. She took inspired actions that led her to the other side of the world and back, as well as quitting her 6 figure job to pursue her dreams as an entrepreneur. Erin's story is truly inspirational for anyone suffering from people pleasing habits.
Releasing yourself from living for others is possible, and uncovering your true potential is your right. Don't miss this episode to learn practical ways you can also be your most authentic self and live your most aligned life.

"Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue consistently." - Maya Angelou
If you were to take inventory of your life, could you claim to be courageous? Taking aligned action can be quite scary for a lot of people. There is seemingly so much on the line when stepping out of your comfort zone and acting fearlessly. However, what is on the other side of that fear is an authentic life curated by you and dictated by external perceptions.
With the right motivation and proper identification of fear, you can create a life true to you. This is exactly what today's guest has put into practice and has created a life around educating the world about courage. Speaker, author, and courage coach, Candace Doby joins us to extend her knowledge on how to conjure courage through her own personal journey with courage.
Tune in to hear an enlightening conversation that will spark a fire in you to act courageously in your life as well!
