  • EP 88: You Are Not Your Wounds + Trusting Your Evolution

L&J  // This week Lulu and Jana are talking about wounds, triggers, and what it really means to "do the work" when it comes to healing from your past. They also touch on self responsibility in terms of understanding and acknowledging your triggers and not bringing your past into your present. L & J also share their thoughts on living in the narrative that we often tell ourselves, and why what you have been through is not who you are. Lulu openly speaks about her experience growing up around alcoholism, how her self worth was deeply impacted by her  father, and how she navigates being in a healthy relationship when her PTSD revolves around men and being abandoned. Jana shares that she has made up certain stories in her head to keep herself stuck in a certain way of thinking about her childhood and how now she accepts her parents and appreciates them for who they are.

    We also talk about...

    • Bringing up your ex in your current relationship
    • Not allowing yourself to live in your past
    • Why human beings are so quick to jump to negativity and the belief that things are "too good to be true"
    • Why we all deserve happiness and not suffering
    • Not staying in fear based cycles
    • Why the human body and mind tends to block out traumatic things or remember them incorrectly as a defence mechanism
    • Not becoming a prisoner to your thoughts, past, and narratives
    • Why forgiveness is for you and not for others

  • EP 87: Embracing Not Having It All Figured Out & Why You Should Never Live Your Life on a Timeline

A SOLO // On this week's ep you get Lulu all to yourself in a very reflective, very insightful birthday episode. The last year has been incredibly eye opening and transformational for Lulu in every way possible, and if you asked her if she recognizes the woman she was at this time last year, she would say no. Lulu shares that one year ago she was barely even a small fraction of who she is now, she was still navigating life after leaving a long term toxic relationship and not knowing what her adult life was without the plan she had in her head for all those years, and she was planning on moving to Australia as a way to run away from the life that she didn't recognize and to a new place where she could completely start over. At this time last year Lulu had no relationship with her parents due to their substance abuse, she as unhappy in her coaching business but ignoring her internal voice and pushing through out of obligation and shame, and she was resisting entering into a relationship with her now boyfriend because she was truly terrified to let anyone in. If you asked Lulu about how she feels about her life today she would say that she is the happiest she has ever been, so much has shifted in the last year that it is truly hard to absorb sometimes, an entire career change, embracing a relationship, moving in with and celebrating 1 year of dating the love of her life, healing her relationship with her mom, and so much deep, painful and expansive work.

    Lulu also talks about...

    • How to let go of the idea that your life should be lived on a timeline
    • How to differentiate between real heartbreak and allowing something surface level to mask something deeper
    • Making a list of your accomplishments every year
    • Letting yourself be proud of where you are and what you've been through
    • Manifesting a partner and job
    • Struggling with comparison and moving away from that
    • How the simple act of practicing gratitude and presence will shift your entire life
    • Letting yourself just be
    • What Lulu's priorities are now and how they have shifted in so many areas of her life
    • How Lulu will be approaching social media moving forward
    • 13 lessons that Lulu has learned in the last year
