In this episode Jama Smith explains the circumstances surrounding his case.  Seventeen years ago Jama was arrested and sentenced for a crime he did not commit. Daniel Locus was born and raised in Philadelphia. Daniel was wrongfully accused and convicted of murder. This case is frustrating because there are multiple witness yet Daniel's lawyer failed to bring them to trial. His lawyer withhold evidence from the courtroom. Instead witness were brought to lie on the prosecution's behalf. They falsely identified Daniel and he is currently incarcerated as someone else.  Daniel has been screaming his innocence for almost a decade. This is why we have to get rid of Qualified Immunity!

In this episode Jabril goes into detail of his case and explains why at the age of 19 he was falsely accused of a crime by his co-defendant. The jury didn't provide any evidence to prove Jabril committed this crime. Jabril was involved in a incident which left him in the hospital at 19 years old . When he woke up, he woke up handcuffed to the bed with no explanation. Now in 2021, legislators in the state of NJ  passed the Youthful Offender Bill that basically states if you were arrested before the age of 25, you can go back to trial to fight the sentence you've been given. Jabril is patiently waiting to see if this bill applies to him.

Rashid's life turned upside down when the police arrested him for a crime he did not commit. Rashid Walker is currently serving a 60 year sentence for murder. However, Rashid is innocent. After the police arrested the true suspect and received confirmation that Rashid was not affiliated with this crime they still withheld evidence and  failed to release Rashid Walker, labeling him as the bad guy.  Why can't the ones in power admit that they've made a big mistake?  Why can't the people in power grant an innocent man his freedom?
