Meet: Rajiv Samant – author: Smiles From The clinic: A Humorous Look at Cancer.

Rajiv was born in India, came to Canada as a young child and grew up in various parts of the country. He spent most of his youth in Nova Scotia.  Gentle prodding from his loving (and typically conventional) Indian immigrant parents not surprisingly led him to enter in medical school at Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1984.

Meet Clyde McCulley, the author of The Boy From Shady Grove Road.

Time Tavel with Clyde and January

If Mark Twain had lived on Shady Grove Road, this would have been his book.

January and Clyde discuss growing up in the 1940's and 1950's, Saturday night baths, radio shows, Christmas

Clyde had no supervision and there was no family car so, there was no Cub Scouts or Little League. The McCulleys had no plumbing or electricity and only a wood stove for heat. Clyde’s weekly bath was taken in a galvanized tub in the kitchen. Meet Clyde McCulle, author The Boy From shady Grove Road

Meet Jim Foley:

“Did You Feed The Dog?” is The Perfect Solution to that Important Question!

As pet parents, it is our responsibility to make sure that our pets are cared for properly with the right food, a comfortable sleeping place and lots of love.

And, of course, feeding our pets is one of the most important tasks we must tend to each morning and evening. But, sometimes, in a home with more than two people, you just don’t know if your dog has been fed! If asked, dogs will lie! And that’s where the brilliance of Did You Feed The Dog comes into play.

Susan Granger’s OSCAR PREDICTIONS:

The red carpet is ready as the 6,200 Oscar voters choose among the 305 films that qualified for the 88th Academy Awards. To be eligible, a film must run more than 40 minutes and open by Dec. 31, 2015, for a minimum of seven-days at a theater in Los Angeles.

When Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs read off the 20 acting nominations back in January, she said she was heartbroken and frustrated by the lack of diversity. That ignited many protests.
