Scott Smith and Jim Hensen

January Jones-Scott Smith-The Muppets!

Jim Henson's Muppets revolutionized puppetry. Frustrated by the limitations of traditional puppets, Henson made his creatures more lifelike, gave them memorable personalities and used them to make learning fun for kids. And he promoted a better world as he entertained adults.

Time magazine listed him among the 20th century's 100 most influential people, alongside the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg.

"My father really worked hard but enjoyed his work so much he seemed relaxed, personifying the notion of flow in work," daughter Lisa Henson, CEO of Jim Henson Co., told IBD. "He had so much creativity that it didn't seem like work, just being himself."

Meet Theresa Sneed a Direct Descendent from The Salem With Haunt

Salem Witch Haunt was intended to be a stand-alone book, until the shocking ending made it apparent that her characters were not finished telling their story.

SALEM WITCH HAUNT embarks on the journey of 17 year old Bess Martin, a senior at Danvers High, who time-travels back to Salem, 1692. After the initial shock of discovering where she is, Bess sets out to save her 11th great-grandmother from the gallows-tree. With a near-perfect knowledge of the historical events about to unfold, Bess knows the untimely fate of many. The problem is that Bess has inherited her grandmother’s sharp tongue—a tongue that caused her grandmother to be tried and hanged as a witch in Salem. Can Bess change the course of history, or will her quick temper cause her to share her grandmother’s fate?

My Journey

As a wife, mother, friend, coach and business woman, I have experienced the highest joys of happiness and the lowest pains of loss. My purpose and passion is to use the experiences of my journey to help others embrace their own. All people start from the same place of being whole when we are born. Most of our lives we strive to find our way back to feeling whole. Life is about this journey: the journey of removing the blocks preventing us from having peace, love and success. Whatever your priorities are – family, relationships, spirituality, professional or financial – I am invested in helping you achieve personal satisfaction and balance.

My Education

Growing up in Los Angeles, my life has been strengthened by the diversity of the connections I’ve made. My parents are life-long political activists and their commitment to equality and justice for all exposed me to diverse cultures, religions, languages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Understanding this, I carried this thread throughout my educational journey by studying inter-group conflict and the social costs of prejudice in undergrad at UCLA where I received a B.A. in Sociology and World Arts and Cultures.

I later focused on civil rights law and women’s legal rights in pursuit of my J.D. from the People’s College of Law. After working to promote equal access to public recreation services, I attended the Community Counselor Program at the Southern California Counseling Center where I learned techniques to help people face their struggles as a result of poverty and abuse. Through this journey, I affirmed my purpose in life—to advocate for empowerment through self-exploration.— Celia Ward-Wallace
