But during Golden Week, well, how should I say, everyone is on holiday.

ã¿ããªã¯æããé¢ã£ãŠããæ¥æ¬èªãèããããšããããŸããïŒ
Has everyone heard the Japanese word "Danshari"?
æ¥æ¬ã®äººã¯ããèãèšèã ãšæããŸãã
I think it's a word that people in Japan hear often.
æããé¢ã¯èªåã®ç©ãæšãŠãããšã§ãã
Danshari is about throwing away your own things.
èªåã®ç©ãæšãŠãŠç©ãå°ãªãããããšãæããé¢ã£ãŠèšããŸãã
Throwing away your own things to reduce the amount of stuff you have is called "Danshari".
ãã®æããé¢ã£ãŠããã®ãåãšãŠã人æ°ã ã£ããã§ãã
This thing called "Danshari" was very popular before.
æè¿ã¯ç©ãè²·ãã®ããšãŠãç°¡åã«ãªããŸããããã
Lately, buying things has become very easy, hasn't it?
ã¢ããŸã³ãšããªã³ã©ã€ã³ã·ã§ããã§ããè²·ããŸãã
You can buy things immediately on Amazon or online shops.
ã ãããã¡ã«ç©ããããããããŸãã
That's why there are many things in the house.
åã®å®¶ãç©ããããããããŸããã
There were many things in my house too.
ã ããæããé¢ããŠããã§ããã
That's why I'm doing Danshari.
åã¯æè¿æ°ããç©ãè²·ã£ã¡ãã£ããã§ãã
I ended up buying new things recently.
ããã§ããã
That's right.
è²·ããŸããã
I bought them.
æè¿ã¯ãã¡ã§ä»äºãããããããœã³ã³ã®ã¢ãã¿ãŒãšãã
Since I work at home lately, things like a computer monitor.
æ€ åãšãããšæãšãèªåã®å¥åº·ã®ããã«ãããããªç©ãè²·ããŸããã
I bought various things for my health, like a chair and a pillow.

But when I buy new things, I try to throw something away.
ã ããä»åæ€ åã 1ã€è²·ããŸããã
So, I bought one chair this time.
ãã£ãšããœã³ã³ã§ä»äºããæéãå€ããªã£ãããã§ãã
It's because I've started spending more time working on the computer.

But I threw away two old chairs.
ãã 1ã€è²·ã£ãŠ 2ã€æšãŠããã§ããã
Yes, I bought one and threw away two.
ã ãããŸãç©ã¯å€ããªã£ãŠãŸããã
So, well, the amount of stuff hasn't increased.
ãããŠæãè²·ããŸããã
And I also bought a pillow.
åã®æã¯ãšãŠãå€ããŠãã¡ãã£ãšè¯ããªãã£ããã§ããã
My pillow was very old and wasn't very good.
ã ããæ°ããæãè²·ãããšã«ãããã§ãã
So I decided to buy a new pillow.
ãã®æã¯ã¡ãã£ãšé«ããŠããæãªãã§ããã©ã
That pillow is a bit expensive and a good pillow.
䜿ã£ãŠã¿ãããã¡ããã¡ãè¯ãã£ãã§ããã
When I tried using it, it was incredibly good.
ããã ããæ°ããæãè²·ã£ãŠå€ãæãæšãŠãŸããã
That's why I bought a new pillow and threw away the old one.

I also bought a computer monitor.
ãŸããŸã倧ããã¢ãã¿ãŒã ãããæºã®äžãã¡ãã£ãšçããªããŸãããã
Since it's a fairly large monitor, the top of the desk became a bit narrow.
ã ããæºã®äžã«æ¬ããã£ããã©ãæ¬ãå°ãæšãŠãŸããã
So there were books on the desk, but I threw some of them away.
åã£ãŠç©ãæšãŠããšããããæšãŠãããªããã§ãã
When I throw things away, I start wanting to throw away a lot.

äŸãã°å€§ããã¹ãŒãã±ãŒã¹ãšå€§ããããã¯ããã¯ã

æ¬åœã«è²·ã£ãŠãŸãã
I really am buying them.

But lately, I've been buying a lot of things.

çãå±±ããçºã«æ¥ãŠäººã®é£ã¹ç©ãé£ã¹ãŸãã
Bears come from the mountains to the towns and eat people's food.
ãšããæã 人ãæ»æããŸããšããçã®ãã¥ãŒã¹ããã¡ããã¡ãå€ãã£ããã§ãã
There was so much news, like they sometimes attack people.
å¬ã®éã¯ããŸããããŸããã§ããã
There wasn't much during the winter.
ã§ãæ¥ã«ãªã£ãŠãã£ããããªããŸãããã
But it's spring now and it's become warm.
ã ããçãå¬ç ããèµ·ãããã ãšæããŸãã
So I think the bears also woke up from hibernation.

I am from Fukushima Prefecture.
åçŠå³¶çã§çã®ãã¥ãŒã¹ããããŸããã
There was news about a bear in Fukushima Prefecture before.
å®ã¯åã®äž¡èŠªã®ãã¡ã®ãã¡ããã¡ãè¿ãã ã£ããã§ãã
Actually, it was very close to my parents' house.
ãã¥ãŒã¹ã§èŠããšããæ¬åœã«ã³ã£ããããŸããã
When I saw it on the news, I was really surprised.
ãã䞡芪ã«ã©ã€ã³ãããã§ããã
I sent a LINE message to my parents right away.
ç倧äžå€«ã ã£ãã£ãŠã
Asking if they were okay with the bear.
åã®äž¡èŠªãæ¬åœã«ã³ã£ããããã£ãŠèšã£ãŠãŸããã
My parents also said they were truly surprised.
ã¡ãã£ãšä¿¡ããããªãã£ãã§ããã
I couldn't quite believe it.
åã®äž¡èŠªã®ãã¡ã¯ç°èã ãã©ãçãäœãã§ãããšãããããªãã§ããã
My parents' house is in the countryside, but it's not a place where bears live.
ãã¡ãããåºãããããã³ã³ãããããããã¹ãŒããŒããããã
Of course, there are shops, convenience stores, and supermarkets.
家ããããããããŸãã
There are also many houses.
ã ããå±±ã®è¿ããããªããã§ããã
So it's not near the mountains.
ã§ããçãæ¥ãã£ãŠèããŠãã»ããšã£ãŠæãã«ãªããŸãããã
But when I heard a bear came, I was like, "Eh, really?"
ä¿¡ããããªãã§ãããã
It's unbelievable, isn't it?
å»å¹Žã¯æ¬åœã«çã®ãã¥ãŒã¹ãå€ããŠãä»å¹Žã¯å€§äžå€«ããªã£ãŠæã£ãŠããŸããã
Last year there was truly so much bear news, I was wondering if this year would be okay.
ã§ããŸãçã®ãã¥ãŒã¹ãå§ãŸããŸããã
But bear news has started again.
ããã¯ã¡ãã£ãšé£ããåé¡ã§ãããã
This is a bit of a difficult problem, isn't it?
çãçºã«æ¥ãã®ã¯çã®é£ã¹ç©ããªããšããçã®äœãã§ãããšãããã¡ãã£ãšå€ãã£ãŠããŠããã£ãŠããããšã§ãããã
Bears coming to town means they don't have food or the places where bears live are changing a bit.
èªç¶ããªããªã£ãŠããŠãããšãããããããªé£ããåé¡ããããšæããŸãã
I think there are various difficult problems, like nature is disappearing.

It's very important for bears and humans to live together, but bears coming to town is truly worrying.
åãã¡ãã£ãšæããšæããŸãã
I also think it's a bit scary.
ã ããããŒããããã¯çã ãã®åé¡ãããªãã§ãããã
So, hmm, this isn't just a problem for bears.
åãã¡ãèããªãã¡ããããªããšæããŸãã
I think we have to think about it too.
ãããŠäœãã§ããããšããã£ããããããããªãã¡ããããªããšæã£ãŠããŸãã
And I believe if there's something we can do, we have to do it.
ä»å¹Žã¯çã®ãã¥ãŒã¹ãå°ãªããšããã§ããã©ãããã¡ãã£ãšããããŸããã
I hope there's less bear news this year, but well, I don't know.
