RIP John Thompson.  Coached 20 players in the NBA, 4 HOF's and most of all 97% of his athletes graduated.  From those who knew him they said he was a great coach and an even better person.  First African American coach to win a championship.  Ewing, Mutombo, Mourning and Iverson all were coached and mentored by him.  
Giants won the Logan Ryan sweepstakes.  Good pickup for them.
Leonard Fournette released by the Jags after accounting for 31% of their offense last year.  Patriots?  Chiefs?  We shall see.
Alvin Kamara wants to get paid.  He is due a little over $2M this year.  $2.9M TOTAL the previous three years of his deal.  After seeing the big payouts to Henry and McCaffrey lately he knows his value.

Gary Sanchez with only in second career grand slam and helps the Yanks sweep the Mets today.  But how about rookie Deivi Garcia in his MLB debut goes 6 strong innings and gives up an unearned run.  Three in a row for the Yanks.  Mets now have lost three straight.  And to think the Yanks could have lost all three games this weekend.  Bullpen still a big area of concern.  Not a lot of time to work out things in a sixty game season.
So Derwin James has a meniscus tear for the Chargers.  They were talking about Earl Thomas.  How about Logan Ryan.  New representation and there are suitors out there.  Giants are interested.  How about the Jets?
Luka Doncic had a great first round series against the Clippers but it's Kawhi's world and would love to see a matchup with the Lakers in the Western Conference finals.  A place that the Clippers have NEVER entered in their franchise history.  It is 2020, anything is possible.

Whose pumped for tomorrow night at 9pm on ESPN for the Austin Peay-Central Arkansas in the Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff.  Let's hope it goes off without a hitch.  BIG10 is watching very CLOSELY.
Yanks after losing game one of the DH to the Mets are now on a six game losing streak which would suck any season but more this year when it's only 60 games.  Chad Green gave up three HR's in the 6th.  
Lebron got a letter from Kaepernick for standing and kneeling with him.  He also spoke to President Obama during the NBA strike this week.  I agree with the President that he can use playing to keep his platform for social justice going throughout the rest of the playoffs and beyond.

Chris Webber spoke about the people who are marginalized and that they got our attention.  Spoke about meeting Charles Barkley at a young age and it showed him that you can't be something til you see it.  If not now then when?  Especially during a pandemic.  These young players spoke for MLK, Medgar Evers, Jackie Robinson, Ali and countless other athletes and leaders.  They are starting this for future generations.  The young people are leading the way.

Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray who follows up his 50pt game with 42 tonight.  33 in the second half.  But the Nuggets still trail the Jazz 3-2 with Game 6 on Thursday.  Spida Mitchell led the Jazz with 30.  
Yanks rained out today in Atlanta.  DH tomorrow and then 2 more against the Mets.  3 DH's in 5 days.  Nothing like a 60 game season.  2020 won't be forgotten anytime soon.
Le'veon Bell told Sam Darnold to avoid bars this season.  We all want football in 2020.

Donovan Mitchell hits for 51 last night, Jamal Murray had 50.  First time two opposing players ever had 50+ in a playoff game.  And love Mitchell saying after the game that he hasn't won anything yet when they told him MJ and AI had both done it before.  Only third year in the league.
Today is Mamba day.  8/24.   Lakers wearing special jerseys tonight for Game 4 vs the Blazers.  
Luka Doncic triple double and buzzer beater last night vs Clippers.  Hey Montrezl Harrell he is no "skinny ass white bitch."  LOL.  People got upset over this.  I played cornhole last night.  You should have heard the trash talking.  People need to relax.
