Sometimes, you have to do something a bit out of the ordinary to promote your movie. In this case, JCVD teamed up with Funny or Die to make a hilarious green screen challenge for the public. Van Damme acted out certain scenes and allowed fans to create their own mini-movies using him as the subject. Welcome to the JCVD: Make My Movie Challenge review! It’s always puzzling when a film puts someone as top billed and that person ends up not having enough screen time. Swelter is that case for Van Damme. Arguably, there are plenty of recognizable faces that probably could have carried the movie as well as one expects it to do. But then again, when you’re looking for those five dollar DVDs, seeing Van Damme’s name would make you more likely to buy it.
