Jeff Cavanaugh - Trust the Tape

I did a little research project and it led me to the conclusion I do NOT want the Cowboys to take Michael Mayer out of Notre Dame in the first round of the draft. For once I actually have evidence I'm going to bring to the table!

The Cowboys could use a tight end to add. It's a nice draft class to do it in. Michael Mayer at the 26th pick just isn't the one.

Todd McShay released his ranking of NFL Draft prospects for the 2023 NFL Draft via the tier system. I really enjoyed looking at it that way. So I've converted my grading in to a similar way to view the Cowboys process that I'd like to share with you all.

Scenarios for the Cowboys to stay put and pick, plus what would lead you to want to trade up or down. It's all right there in your rankings and pretty hard to mess up honestly.

Let's do 500 Cowboys mock drafts and talk about what they need, what they should do, what they will do, and all that jazz.

Come on in and let's do some mocking.

We've got new mock drafts from three guys whose opinions I respect in the NFL Draft game. Lance Zeirlein, Pete Prisco and Todd McShay.

Let's do some quick analysis on the players they gave to the Cowboys and then I'll run a quick two round mock of my own.

As of March 27th according to Jerry Jones, Tyron Smith is a right tackle, Tyler Smith is a left tackle and Terence Steele is a backup.

That makes no sense to me and we'll walk through it and talk about Cowboys FA and draft things.

Oh and then it turned in to a mock draft party on accident.

The Cowboys are continuing to kick butt and be aggressive this offseason plugging holes to get ready and draft the best players. RB Ronald Jones signed today along with OL Chuma Edoga. Add that to Stefon Gilmore and Brandin Cooks and we'll kick around what is next.

Plus my latest 3 round Cowboys mock draft now that they're freed up to draft the best available players is FUN!

The Cowboys made a great trade going and getting Stephon Gilmore to help out their CB situation. Bringing back LVE and Dono also gets a thumbs up from me.

Let's move forward from there and hit the next steps including a little 3 round mock draft at the end of this video!

Get on in here it's legal tampering NFL Free Agency day! What are the Cowboys up to? Spoiler alert, not much.

But we do know some of their plan and how they feel about Odell Beckham plus we can talk about the Cowboys and their draft needs.

Stephen Jones was out there talking at the NFL Scouting Combine and I'll give you the important stuff and what we can read in to it. Notes on the future of Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, Dalton Schultz, Tyron Smith. Also the answers to some draft questions and what the Cowboys are going to do at left guard, running back and receiver.

Jump on in here and let's do a 3 round mock draft for the Dallas Cowboys. I may end up doing more than one because I do way too many mock drafts.

I'm looking for wide receivers, corners, offensive line and who knows what else. Let's have some fun fixing this team!

We ended up with three VERY different looking drafts. Including names like Bijan Robinson, Jalin Hyatt and Darnell Washington.
