She cowered fully clothed, in the middle of the plains. The sky was grand above her. A heated implosion of sand tunneled down to the water under heavy waves. The sky was fluid, the ether steadfast. The ether has the grounding of eternity in peacetimes when suction pushes back on suction, and the tranquility is thrown in haste more commonplace than stillness. The ether dimmed, dry as dust.
