Dirty Dancing - Chapter 2

Featuring a chapter novelized by Jordan Morris and narrated by Jesse Thorn, plus an interview with Angela Giarratana. Hosted by Dave Hill.

Each season on The Novelizers, we take a beloved film, then get comedy writer (from SNL, The Simpsons, Colbert, and more) to turn it into a hilarious audiobook, narrated by comedians and actors. We also feature interviews with the people who (may or may not have) made the original film.

Jesse Thorn is the founder and owner of Maximum Fun, a podcast network he launched in 2004. He hosts the interview program "Bullseye with Jesse Thorn" (formerly "The Sound of Young America"), which is distributed by NPR. Thorn is also known for co-hosting podcasts like "Jordan, Jesse, Go!" and "Judge John Hodgman," and has been influential in the development of podcasting as a medium.

Jordan Morris is a comedy writer and podcaster best known for co-hosting "Jordan, Jesse, Go!" with Jesse Thorn on the Maximum Fun network. He has written for television shows including "@midnight" and "Unikitty!" Morris began his career in the early 2000s as a radio personality on "The Sound of Young America" and has since become a fixture in the podcasting world, known for his quick wit and comedic storytelling.

Angela Giarratana is an improv performer and teaching artist based in Los Angeles, known for her work with prestigious comedy institutions like UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) and The Groundlings. She has performed with notable improv troupes including "Death by Roo Roo" and "The Improvised Shakespeare Company," where she demonstrates her skill in character work and narrative development. Giarratana also teaches improv workshops focusing on physical comedy and character building, and has appeared in various comedy sketches and indie films, bringing her distinctive improvisational approach to scripted work.
