Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

We all have “issues”. Some of us struggle with anger, bitterness, lying…you name it, there isn’t a character flaw, sin or transgression that people haven’t experienced. Today, as we go through a Psalm written by David, Pastor Daniel will remind us that God has always used people that seem like the least likely candidates to do His will. That essentially includes all of us, since we are all unlikely people compared to the perfection of the Father. But, still…He seeks us out, loves us, and sets us free.

Premarital counseling, books, sage advice…there are a lot of tools that people use to prepare for marriage, but as Pastor Daniel says today, nothing really prepares you for the reality of it. Using a garden as an illustration, we’ll find that all the same principles to tending a garden can be applied to marriage and sexuality. Listen and receive some practical guidance from the Word about how to approach the difficulties that can arise in marriage.

Every one of us, at some time, has struggled to understand God’s timing. We’re told that when we trust in Jesus, everything will work out the way we want it to, but as Pastor Daniel tells us today…that’s not true. It works out the way God wants it to. If you were told that there were things in your life that you could be praying for that will never be answered the way you want…could you still follow Him? That’s the challenge today as we consider God’s timing.

In a lot of ways as humans, we like to be extreme about things in order to protect ourselves…which is why, historically, the church has tended towards a suppressive position on sexuality. In an effort to keep sex within marriage, intimacy has been painted as forbidden, or dirty. Today, Pastor Daniel begins a message in Song of Solomon, where we find a balanced, biblical illustration of how God designed sexual relationships between spouses.

Everyone struggles sometimes with relationships…but what if someone told you there was a key to having healthy relationships with others? Today, Pastor Daniel explains why the key is Jesus, as we explore these chapters of Revelation. Jesus shows His love no matter if we notice or not…He gave His life after all. We’ll be challenged to really put our words into actions as we remind ourselves of the sacrifice of God’s Son.

The more you become accustomed to something, the more desensitized you become. It’s why spouses might complain about feeling unappreciated…because the other person has stopped noticing their value. Today, Pastor Daniel talks about the characteristics of God that we may be taking for granted. His Holiness, uniqueness, and power are all qualities of the Father that we could do better to appreciate and gain understanding about.

There are dogs that travel the same trail around the yard so often that a grooved path is created. Once a path is created, it’s harder to deviate from it. But, if the master calls the dog, it will leave the path and follow. That’s how Jesus calls us from our paths of sin, calling us out of a dark valley. As Pastor Daniel teaches about Jesus as the Good Shepherd, we’ll find that His presence provides protection and restoration as we leave ourselves behind and follow Him.

The shepherd knows His sheep, and they know Him. It’s an unbreakable bond, so it’s important to choose the right shepherd. Our culture tends to latch on to celebrity figures, to the degree of worship. Some of us have latched onto a particular teacher or pastor. But, there is only one shepherd that’s the right one, and it’s Jesus. Today, Pastor Daniel teaches about this relationship, and the vitality that comes with a bond of love and sacrifice.

If you hear the word ‘warrior’ to describe a man, you probably don’t think of a your neighbor, or coworker, or even best friend. ‘Warrior’ is most often used to describe a person of the past…but today Pastor Daniel will challenge that assumption, as he examines what it means for a man to be a warrior of God. There’s nothing that brings a person to life like having a cause to fight for, and today we’ll find out how a man can be armored up to face life.

A person tasked as a watchman has to look out for danger. If that person is sleeping on the job, nobody is protected. As we hear about the goals for godly fathers, Pastor Daniel will explain what it means for a dad to be a watcher over his family. Not a worrier, or an over-protecter, but a man who wants to guard the hearts of those he loves. There are tools to accomplish this level of protection, and today we’ll find out how God arms godly men.
