Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

In a world of gray, how can we know what is right? Discernment. It’s a true gift…the ability to know the difference between what’s right and what’s not…and it only comes through God’s wisdom. People can be motivated by scrupulous intentions…and we need to be able to spot them. Pastor Daniel will encourage us today to check credentials…how the fruit of a person’s life is evidence of their heart. Ultimately, God’s wisdom has to be at the center.

God’s wisdom doesn’t always mean an easy resolution for our problems. When His words are difficult to swallow, it’s easy to turn away from them. But, the opposite of wisdom is foolishness…and nothing good comes of it. We’ll consider what it’s like to be in an emotionally vulnerable place, as Pastor Daniel helps us to understand what it means to reject God’s wisdom. What we want isn’t always healthy…and sometimes can be deadly.

God’s wisdom calls out to everyone, everywhere. That’s the Lord’s desire…that everyone from the most highly educated to the most average person would be able to access the wisdom of the Father. Pastor Daniel challenges us to question where we line up according the wisdom of God…whether we embrace it or reject it…or somewhere in between. For anyone, if you turn towards Him He will make His words known to you.

A person’s friends are an accurate indicator of who they are. We tend to listen to our friends, and follow their example…so it’s worth considering who you surround yourself with. Today, Pastor Daniel teaches from Proverbs, and what the book has to say about wisdom. Sometimes, people give advice that sounds good, but when you measure it against the truth of God’s Word…that counsel turns out to be totally wrong.

Fear is a powerful emotion…because it nearly always prompts action. Fear can push you towards safety or towards destruction. So, what does it mean to fear the Lord? At first read, it may seem contradictory, but it’s the central principle to really being able to access the wisdom of God. Today, Pastor Daniel will explain what it means to fear the Lord. If we’re living for Him, we know how our actions can break His heart, and how much He loves us.

If Twitter is a compilation of people’s random thoughts…then Proverbs are like God’s nuggets of wisdom. Learning, gaining knowledge…anyone can do this through study. But, as we’ll hear today, wisdom is something different. Pastor Daniel will explain how God desires that we be wise…and that’s something different than being knowledgeable. If a person can not only understand the Word, but also apply it…then we can truly know how to live.

In situations that bring misery, like losing a loved one…despair covers everything in our lives. It can be hard to remember the good times when we’re grieving. But, today, Pastor Daniel encourages us to consider the whole of our lives when we’re in trouble. God’s hand becomes evident. Your testimony is powerful, no matter what it is…because someone out there can connect with it. Listen and be empowered to go public with His provision.

Imagine someone presents you with a solution to a problem you’re having…but you don’t like it. There must be a better, more comfortable solution. But, sometimes there isn’t. Like with Jesus, suffering was necessary for Him to become the Savior of the world. He would have preferred a different way, but trusted that the Father knew what He was doing. Today, Pastor Daniel will encourage us to trust God…because He knows what we need.

When everything in life is going wrong, our instinct is to ask God, “Where are you?” In the midst of disaster, God is still there. As Pastor Daniel takes us through this Psalm, we’ll hear how God can be trusted to be there. When you go back through the evidence of your life, it becomes clear what God has done. We’ll learn about how God stays through the suffering, and how we can praise Him even when we are surrounded by turmoil.

You know when you’re hiding from God. Even in sin, most of us think we’re hiding and think we’re getting away with it. But no matter where you go…He’s there. As Pastor Daniel explains today, He not only wants to lift us up, but protect us as well. We may think we know what that would look like, but it’s a struggle to accept God’s way of doing things over our own. We go our own way, but He’s always following closely beside us.
