When someone is coming at you about your bad behavior, the instinct is to run away…even if it’s God who’s coming after you. We are experts at running from God, whether from shame or defiance…but we can never get away. We don’t change much as adults…not without a spiritual intervention. When something doesn’t go your way, a slow burn begins to creep into your soul…an angry fire. Anger is an emotion that devours and drains energy, so that nothing fruitful can come from it. Today, Pastor Daniel takes us through a Psalm that speaks to the feeling of being wronged and surrounded by evil. We’ll find an alternative answer to getting angry, and learn how to use that inner fire to accomplish good things for God’s glory.

It all comes together today, as we hear all the ways God has chosen to reveal Himself to us and, spoiler alert…it’s through everything. From the general to the specific, God leaves no method unused in order to make Himself known to our hearts. As Pastor Daniel explains today, when we realize just how personal God gets, it’s humbling. But it’s a love like no other, and if you’re desiring to be free, God is the only redeemer.

The Psalms are often lauded for their poetic and comforting qualities…but they are so much more than that. In this psalm, we’ll be nourished and challenged to do the work required in order to grow and allow God’s will to be brought to bear in our lives. Reading, hearing, immersing ourselves in the Word is essential. As Pastor Daniel emphasizes today, this isn’t optional. We need to know what’s in Genesis through Revelation in order to know Him.

The first few lines of the Bible can be a struggle for people…that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Pastor Daniel will help us to understand today, just why that is, and what God is revealing to us within every step of Creation. We’ll learn how to rejoice in Creation, as every bit of it is a reminder of God’s glory, and how He’s revealed Himself to us. A gift like that shouldn’t be taken for granted, and can nourish us daily when we acknowledge it.
