When you have a destination, there are only two paths to get there…the wrong one, and the right one. Spiritually, the same is true. One path leads to life, the other to destruction. It feels like a heavy choice, because it is. God beckons you to take the path towards Him, but He doesn’t force you onto it. As Pastor Daniel speaks about this serious matter, you’ll be faced with a choice. Even as a believer, you have to continue to keep your eyes on that path.

When dealing with sin, the only way to overcome it is to turn away from it and walk on. We tend to be overconfident when toying with sin…thinking we can mess around just a little bit and it’s okay. But, like a weed when it’s gone to seed…if you wait too late to pull it out, it’s suddenly out of control. As Pastor Daniel teaches today, there is a way to be centered…like a leash meant to keep us from falling over a cliff, the Word takes root in our hearts.

Without an intervention from Jesus, our flesh rules. We have a desire to please ourselves, which ultimately leads to destruction. But, God designed humanity for blessing…sin wasn’t meant to be a part of our lives. As PastoR Daniel explains today, God’s intention for the law was intended to give us a map that would lead us away from sin. We’ll start in the beginning here, in Genesis, that will prove how God designed us all for blessing.

In modern society, women can go on as usual when it comes to menstruation. As we go through Leviticus fifteen, we’ll hear a lot about separation and what sounds like isolation for a woman on her period. At face value, it may seem absurd, but as Pastor Daniel puts this passage in context, we’ll come to understand God’s motivation. We may have better methods of dealing with it, but God’s heart was for the comfort and well being of His children.

When a person has a stay in the hospital, a doctor will determine when they are healthy enough to go home. Usually, a time of rest at home is recommended. This is the same process as we hear about today, as Pastor Daniel describes God’s instructions for the people when dealing with illness and uncleanness. There was a period of waiting before re-admittance into the community, and we’ll find that there is a clear spiritual application to be made.

God is concerned for the health and well being of His people. As Pastor Daniel takes us through Leviticus fifteen, we’ll hear how the children of Israel were instructed to cleanse themselves related to sensitive matters. If you’re wondering what this might have to do with you, you’re not alone…most of us have skipped right past this section when reading through the Bible. Listen and be surprised, as the purpose of God’s instructions hasn’t changed.

We’ve all grown up in a world where there are preferred people… whether it be racial, economic, or status driven. But God doesn’t elevate certain groups over others. He chose the Jewish people as the vehicle to come into the world, but He loves us all the same. Today, Pastor Daniel reminds us that God wants to transform ALL of us, and we’ll see evidence of His inclusion as we examine the processes given to the people for cleansing.

When a person submits their life to God…all the habits and problematic behavior doesn’t disappear with a poof. Sometimes, it lingers, and there is a period of time where a person might waver. Today, Pastor Daniel will take us through the process that the priests went through in order to be sure a person was thoroughly cleansed from disease. The Lord allows for us to be spiritually cleansed in a way that draws us nearer to Him.

In the story of the prodigal son, a father takes back his son…a son who has done every vile thing you can imagine. This story is believable…until we apply it to our own lives. So many of us struggle to believe that God could take us back after so many mistakes. BIG mistakes. But, as Pastor Daniel explains today, God makes provisions for EVERYONE. This section of Leviticus deals with physical healing, but we’ll find the spiritual applications are profound.

We all know what it’s like to go to work and hear a coworker coughing, sniffling, and acting unwell. You stay away, because nobody wants to get sick. Leviticus outlines steps to ward off certain illnesses, even going as far as burning clothes and linens. You hope your sick coworker would stay home. Pastor Daniel takes it a step further in his teaching today, as we consider how we should be with others during a struggle with rebellion.
