Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

God wants us to let temporary things be temporary…but how do we know what’s fleeting and what’s eternal? As Pastor Daniel explains to us in this teaching…love always abides. So, those things that aren’t rooted in God’s love are temporary, and we need to keep them as less important as the eternal ones. God, God’s Word, and people…those relationships should be given more attention than whether we agree on the color of the new car.

What if you looked at every person and thought, “I don’t know every bit of information about him, so I’m going to withhold judgment.” It’s our tendency to think we know people… especially when it comes to their sins and flaws. If you could get past that, imagine what kind of healing and selfless love you could give? Today, Pastor Daniel helps us to define this difficult kind of love…and to execute it the way our Father would.

Love doesn’t delight in iniquity. Immediately, the most obvious sins come to mind…you think, “I don’t delight in murder, or cheating, or lying…I’m good.” But this is a fallacy…because we all have those things in our lives…we just don’t recognize them. Today, Pastor Daniel will challenge us to seek the Lord to find out what those things are. Like rejoicing in the takedown of a terrible person…when we should be praying for their salvation.

Taking in, or giving away. If only one of those actions defined love, which would it be? Of course, it would be giving away…because that’s the more selfless route. But, as we’ll hear today, it is a meandering path to get there. We have a hard time not making ourselves the center of the universe. As you listen to this teaching from Pastor Daniel, consider the ways that your selfish nature takes over…it’s not always obvious, but Jesus can change any heart.

“If you really love me, you’ll do what I want.” That statement doesn’t sound very loving, does it? But, that’s the prevailing way when it comes to love in our society. But, as Pastor Daniel teaches today, there is a better way. God waits for people, with patience that they would make the right decision. That’s love. Suffering through someone’s mistakes isn’t easy, but bearing with it is the true definition of love….it’s patient, and kind.

As a believer, you have to be careful that you’re not contributing to the noise. Today, Pastor Daniel will teach about what it means for a person to be loving. If what’s coming out of your mouth is gossip, anger, or unforgiving…then what you’re putting out there is just useless noise. We’ll find out how to avoid being part of the problem…where every word we say is motivated by God’s love, and every good thing we do be for Him and not ourselves.

Have you ever put your name into that classic portion of Scripture…”Love is patient, love is kind…?” That is the true measure if you’re wondering if you’re embodying the love of Jesus. As Pastor Daniel teaches today, first you have to know the love of God before you can love people. Only through the Father can you really be patient.

Imagine you had built an amazing house of worship for the Lord, dedicating all your time and resources to preparing for what He asked you to do…and then when it was finished…you weren’t allowed to go in. As Pastor Daniel teaches today, that’s exactly what happened God’s people when they finished constructing the tabernacle. But, it was a time that God was preparing to come into their presence…a wait the was definitely worth it.

Before the Lord touched your heart, you were a different person. But when you know the Father, you are living as who you ARE. You’ve been set apart…and today, Pastor Daniel will explain how the way the tabernacle was set up reflects how you’ve been touched by the spirit of God as a believer. There is a process in getting there, just as in the tabernacle there is a process in going from the outside to the inside….and there is a community to support you.

As Pastor Daniel has taught about the intricacies and craftsmanship displayed throughout the building of the tabernacle…it’s evident that there were a lot of hands involved. But one figure, Moses…he wasn’t involved with the construction. As the people jumped into the project with obedient hearts, God used each person’s individual gifts in a mighty way. Most of us are not like Moses, but we’re all vital to the completion of His work.
