Forgiving the Folklore

God, please, grant me with legs

strong enough to walk into light,

forsaking those forsaken shadows,

evading their disgraceful embraces

forgetting every ugly ghost behind,

I’m not trying to be unkind, no kin...

cuz my bloodline has been purified,

by holy blood, forgiving the folklore

Acting All So Innocent

look at me acting all so innocent

whenever really I can cut deeply,

these mere words will transform

into heated blades, you’re butter,

I guess everyone better stay on

my good side, or face the music,

because once I’ve been wounded, bets

are off, sorry, I’m far from being perfect

Use Heart

mankind has severed from

God’s design, we’re divided

so many facets have pulled us

away, it started before today...

women don’t really need men,

they say, it’s all a power-play

because love is a togetherness

with Jesus in the middle, inside

don’t allow the culture to try

to cut you apart - use heart

Taxing Lung Infections

has our air supply

been cut off short

who can be blamed

for the deepest hurt

intoxicated by toxins,

taxing lung infections

smokescreens go up

in smoke truth be told

The Choir

up in here trying to

sing for God’s glory

but Jezebel wants

to push everybody

right into the wrong

direction, protect us,

setup a hedge to

outdo her spells

To God’s Eyes

everywhere I travel the trees congregate

with all their arms lifted up to God’s eyes

standing naked as the day they were birthed from a seed, they know need,

I’m reminded that if mankind won’t

worship than everything else shall

it’s no big surprise that they do it

so effortlessly, without ceasing...

Three Amish Girls

three Amish girls duck

into my dark train car

to retrieve their baggage

they stowed away in light

I sit-watching-as they fumble

within the pitch for their things

I turn on my meager iPhone 6’s

flashlight to offer them guidance

they eagerly thank me for the help

then I ask if they like poetry, why yes,

I hand them my colorful card as I tell them

I’m a poet, their smiles ignite ever brightly

A Silver Puddle

my heart melts into a silver puddle

whenever I look upon your beauty,

meld me around your sweet finger,

never let me go, I won’t tarnish you...

instead I’ll help you grow, help you glow,

help your golden wings ascend heaven

capturing all your icy tears and fears in a chalice

only to let them flow like soothing rivers,

enrapturing

For my beloved, Dee Dee

Glow with Glorifying

sun over the wavy water

do you know the Maker,

I imagine you’ve never

broken His heart, wiser

clearly, some beings

glow with glorifying

your right place vilified

your light is electrified

meanwhile mankind

doesn’t understand

But We’re Fighters

battling throughout treacherous waters

our little boats thrash against capsizing,

this voyage is nothing less than utterly

tremendous, by nature, we rationalize

not even the killer whales deep down below escape these tyrannical storms

the wild winds scream out loudly

about quitting, but we’re fighters
